Sajan Sachdeva shared thisThe mechanics of a prosthetic leg: I've been a prosthetic leg user for ~24 of 33 years of my life, and specifically a user of an advanced microprocessor knee (MPK) for the last 10. Hitting that 10-year mark, I can't help but reflect on how deep an impact a product can have on your life. The last 10 years have been absolutely crazy. I started my corporate career and thrived in it, moved continents, shed body fat%, built things, failed, broke things, and learned boxing. Boxing in particular is very close to my heart. As a prosthetic leg user, I box badly in a specific way. I can't throw a lot of power punches — throwing power throws me off balance. So my job becomes absorbing, blocking, countering, 'dancing' and waiting for my power shot. The video is from a white-collar boxing competition I won last year. My game is blocking, absorbing, reading, letting the dance happen, taking the hit, waiting for my moment. And when my moment comes — go fierce, don't stop. My prosthetic legs here have deep function. How it works: my knee joints have a 100 Hz system so it samples my surroundings ~190 times per second. They read my environment, my weight distribution, the gyroscope position, and based on all those fancy sensors they give me the resistance. They make a decision on how to keep me balanced & enabled. That gives me reliability. (I totally geek out over this.) And that reliability is what allows me to not be super conscious about my prosthetic legs, and actually go out and throw that jab — or just go about my life. I won't even get into the psychological impact of such things. I'd need a podcast for that (jk). The C-Leg was an expensive affair for me. Back in 2016, in a very beautiful and magical way, a lot of people came forward to help fund mine. I'm deeply, deeply grateful to them — but that's a story I want to save for another day (soon). For now, I want to take a moment to wonder how big a responsibility it must be to design a prosthetic knee joint — or any product with low volume but deep integration into someone's life. With a playlist called “Deep Work but Existential.” The goal of this model was to capture messy subjective supply chain nuances and turn it into clear action plans driving operations excellence — not prompt soup. Recently, I tried something new: 1. AI Journaling: It’s surprisingly good at spotting patterns—like how I’m a tad extra hard on myself. I don’t spill all my secrets, but for broader reflections, it’s spot-on. Pro tip: Ask ChatGPT, “Tell me something about me that I don’t actively realize.” 2. Bullet Journaling: on days I’m too tired or grumpy to write but I have got to do it for the sake of streak. I’ve boiled it down to four bullet points (whatever prompt works for you) : -Highlight -Lowlight -Key goal for the day -One thing I’m grateful for Am I the only one geeking out journaling, or you have journaling secrets of your own?

I will never really be able to put into words what my time at Amazon has meant to me, personally and professionally. Turns out spending the best part of 8 years surrounded by some of the most intelligent and ambitious people really is transformative. There are too many people to list out in a post but I’m confident you all know who you are. You certainly got my longwinded goodbye email. I am so excited for what comes next. But before the next challenge begins, I will be firmly out of office, on a beach, with a glass of rosé.

Some shifts in fashion are fairly straightforward. Gen Z is changing how people discover and put together a look. AI will make that discovery more intuitive. These are secular shifts worth building for. Premiumisation is more nuanced. The same customer wants both value and premium, depending on the occasion. What is changing is that they are willing to trade up for more occasions. Yet, for several brands, online selling prices remain stubbornly lower than average. Some of this is the legacy of how online fashion developed in India. Thankfully, there was broad agreement in the room that this should change. The starting point is to bring the best version of the brand online, and always preserve the trust it has earned. At Amazon Fashion, we are rigid about taking the long-term view. Co-creating the right selection with brands and sellers, helping them build consideration, and using technology to get the unglamorous basics right, consistently.
