Custom Capabilities for “shop manager” Role Not Persistent

Hi there,

I’m using the User Role Editor plugin to modify the default shop_manager role in WooCommerce. I have customized the capabilities to fit my store’s workflow. However, every time WooCommerce updates, all my changes to the shop_manager role are lost and it resets to the default state.

I understand that WooCommerce rewrites its default roles on update, but I was hoping that User Role Editor would preserve or reapply the customized capabilities automatically, or provide an option to do so.

Is there a recommended way to make these role modifications persistent across WooCommerce updates using your plugin?
Alternatively, is it possible to “lock” or “protect” the role capabilities from being overwritten?

Any suggestions or workarounds would be highly appreciated.
