Hello@arcapolis ,
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We understand that the installation process itself has raised concerns, and we respect that feedback.
We would, however, like to provide some additional context regarding some of the points you’ve made. The plugin remains idle unless it is actively used and instructed to perform a specific action by the user. It cannot independently modify, damage, or take actions on a website’s database, files, or content on its own. In other words, it does not operate or take any actions without a user’s input and authorization.
Our goal here was to provide a tool that helps automate tasks and improve productivity while keeping users firmly in control of their websites and workflows.
We appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to clarify how the plugin works.
Kind regards,
Daniela Ivanova
I’m sorry to inform you that this security issue is not up for debate or additional context. Since you copied files into our production folders and then activated those plugins, those files already took action without administrator authorization, on their own. Those plugins were not idle; and there weren’t just a few of them.
What we can clarify is that, many times SiteGround has done a good job and deserves applause. And other times, it has to apologize to its clients, make things right, and move forward.
