Odds of higher interest rates are soaring after Fed Chair Warsh’s remarks

Immediately after Fed Chair Kevin Warsh's hawkish remarks at the annual Jackson Hole Economic Policy Symposium on Friday, the probability of an interest rate hike at the Fed's next meeting in mid-September nearly doubled. According to CME FedWatch, as of Monday, the market saw a 65% chance of a quarter-point increase.
