Michael Olise scored a fantastic goal as France drew with Italy in the Nations League.

It was Zinedine Zidane's first home game as France boss after winning two matches on the road in this international break.

Olise opened the scoring at the Stade de France from outside the box with a shot that crashed in via the underside of the bar, after Rayan Cherki rolled a free-kick to him.

Bayern Munich's Olise has been involved in 14 goals in 15 games for France this year.

Italy levelled when Alessandro Bastoni stole the ball off Lucas da Cunha before beating the advanced Mike Maignan from the edge of the box.

France had Dayot Upamecano sent off late on for a second booking.

The Azzurri have won one, drawn one and lost one since Roberto Mancini's return as head coach.

Elsewhere in Group A1, Belgium - now managed by Mark van Bommel - beat Turkey 3-0.

Kevin de Bruyne netted twice with Romelu Lukaku scoring the other goal.
