From your first registration to the day your diploma is issued, the Office of the Registrar safeguards your academic record and keeps your Bennett journey on track with accuracy, integrity, and care.
The Office of the Registrar exists to support the academic mission of Bennett College by facilitating the transition of students from initial enrollment to degree completion. We preserve academic integrity, safeguard the security of academic records, and provide consistent, high-quality service to students, faculty, staff, and alumnae, in accordance with academic policy, state law, and federal law.
Registrar Functions
Most of these processes are initiated through forms found in the SONIS student portal under “Forms from the Registrar”, or by contacting their student advisor.
Course Registration
Manages early and term registration, oversees advisor approval of course schedules, and processes add/drop and withdrawal transactions each semester.
Academic Records
Maintains and protects the accuracy, security, and confidentiality of every student's academic record in accordance with FERPA and institutional policy.
Transcripts
Issues official and unofficial transcripts containing a student's complete academic history, grades, credit hours, and degree conferral information.
Enrollment & Degree Verification
Confirms current enrollment and degree status for insurers, employers, housing providers, and lenders, in partnership with the National Student Clearinghouse.
Grade Processing
Records and posts final grades each term, processes grade changes and course repeat requests, and calculates term and cumulative GPA.
Transfer Credit Evaluation
Reviews and evaluates transcripts from other accredited institutions, processes transfer and substitution credit, and files approved coursework to the student record.
Degree Audits & Graduation
Reviews degree progress and graduation applications, certifies students as candidates for graduation, and confirms diplomas for degree conferral.
FERPA & Privacy
Upholds student rights under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, including the right to review, request amendment of, and control disclosure of education records.

Order a Transcript
Current students and alumnae can request official transcripts through BelleNet or the National Student Clearinghouse.
Verify Enrollment
Print an enrollment verification certificate through Student Self-Service on BelleNet, available 24/7 under the Academics tab.
Transcript Hold?
Holds are typically tied to an unresolved financial obligation. Contact the Business Office at 336-517-2110 to resolve.
