Holland's original Sony and Marvel contract expired after "No Way Home," putting him in an extremely strong position when the studios wanted him back for a fourth standalone movie.

For "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," Holland reportedly received a base salary of at least $20 million. More importantly, his representatives negotiated an uncapped backend arrangement tied to the movie's financial performance. Early Life

Thomas Stanley Holland was born on June 1, 1996, in Kingston upon Thames, London, England. His mother, Nicola Frost, is a photographer, while his father, Dominic Holland, is a comedian and author. Tom is the oldest of four sons.

Holland attended Donhead Preparatory School and Wimbledon College before studying at the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology.

He began taking hip-hop dance classes at Nifty Feet Dance School in Wimbledon. While performing with his school at the 2006 Richmond Dance Festival, Holland was noticed by choreographer Lynne Page, an associate of "Billy Elliot the Musical" choreographer Peter Darling.

After a lengthy audition process and roughly two years of training, Holland made his West End debut in "Billy Elliot the Musical" in 2008, initially playing Billy's friend Michael. He was soon promoted to the title role and remained with the production until 2010.
