B-Line shifting to more stroller-friendly policy

She said the old policy worked "some of the time," but for people with two or more children, people with disabilities, or people who were shopping with their children and had other items stored in the stroller, it became a safety issue.

Jessica Melear, the creative director at the Chico Children's Museum, spoke at the Aug. 18 meeting of the Chico Noon Exchange Club at Canyon Oaks. The nonprofit Museum, located at 325 Main Street, opened in April 2019 and has nearly 9,000 square feet of exhibit space. The museum facilitates one-on-one imaginative, interactive, hands-on play between children and their caregivers throughout many different exhibits. The Museum also has spaces of all sizes available to rent for events or meetings. Chico Noon Exchange Club President-elect Greg Nelson presented a $1,000 check to Melear for the Chico Children's Museum's programs on behalf of the club from Brewfest proceeds.
