Honoring 15 Years of Impact

Launched in 2010, Blue Campaign is a national public awareness initiative to combat human trafficking. The campaign educates the public, law enforcement, and industry partners on how to recognize the signs of trafficking and respond effectively.

Through partnerships across DHS and beyond, we develop a wide range of trainings and resources to raise awareness, support prevention, and protect vulnerable communities. For more than a decade, Blue Campaign has:

  • Engaged communities nationwide through events, outreach, and public education efforts that bring critical information directly to the people who need it most.

  • Amplified its message online, reaching broad audiences through social media and news outlets to raise awareness and encourage action.

  • Distributed millions of educational materials—posters, toolkits, and other resources —to support prevention and reporting.

  • Inspired real-world impact, with increased public engagement leading to more calls to the National Human Trafficking HSI Tip Line and more anti-human trafficking trainings completed.

Recognizing the Power of Partnership

Blue Campaign continues to be the forefront of the nation’s efforts to combat human trafficking. Our mission is rooted in two foundational goals: preventing human trafficking and protecting exploited persons.

At the heart of this mission lies a powerful truth: we are stronger together. Through strategic partnerships with the private sector, nongovernmental organizations, law enforcement, and state and local authorities, we maximize national public engagement on anti-human trafficking efforts.

We also collaborate with partners to develop and distribute resources, deliver essential trainings, and raise national awareness in almost 40 different languages so that individuals and communities are prepared to recognize and respond to human trafficking. Learn more about our key partnerships:

  • Blue Lightning Initiative

The Blue Lightning Initiative (BLI) has trained more than 350,000 personnel in the aviation industry to identify and report human trafficking.

  • Blue Campaign and Lyft

Blue Campaign partners with Lyft to educate rideshare drivers about how to detect and prevent human trafficking.

  • Blue Campaign and NCMEC

Blue Campaign and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) work together to provide resources for keeping kids safe online and preventing youth exploitation.

Reinforcing Relevance and Building the Future

Blue Campaign is committed to providing easy access to information about DHS programs, initiatives, and activities in the fight against human trafficking. Ending human trafficking in the United States and beyond requires the collective resolve of all corners of our nation, and we are constantly looking to work alongside committed partners in this effort. Join us in raising awareness and protecting our communities.
