Accessibility and inclusivity at FanDuel
At FanDuel, we believe everyone should be able to play — whether you’re setting your fantasy lineup, placing a bet, or checking scores. Sports and gaming bring people together, so we want to make sure everyone can fully enjoy the experience.
Building a better experience
We’re always working to improve accessibility. That means designing with assistive technologies in mind, following Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), and listening to feedback. Our goal is to make FanDuel easy to use for everyone.
Using a screen reader
We aim to support a wide range of screen readers. For the best experience:
On Mac:
- Enable VoiceOver in System Preferences > Accessibility
On Windows:
- Use JAWS (Job Access With Speech) with Edge
- Use NVDA (NonVisual Desktop Access) with Firefox
What we've improved
We want FanDuel to work well for as many people as possible.
Here are a few updates we’ve made:
- Added captions for videos when available, like during horse racing.
- Enhanced voiceover support to help screen readers navigate and read content more clearly.
- Increased color contrast on buttons and visuals so they’re easier to see.
These updates are a part of our larger effort to create a more inclusive experience.
Empowering our teams
Accessibility is a team sport. That’s why we created the Accessibility Champions Group. We’re a team of designers, product managers, engineers, researchers, quality analysts, and more.
We meet regularly to plan improvements, test ideas, and help other teams build with accessibility in mind. We also host talks and workshops to share tools and keep the momentum going.
Keeping the game going
We know accessibility isn’t a one-and-done effort. Technology evolves, and so do our players’ needs. We’re committed to making improvements over time.
