What does it take for a company to thrive across generations? Executive Chair Bill Ford and Board Member Alexandra Ford English recently sat down at the The Economic Club of Grand Rapids to discuss the "long view" that defines Ford Motor Company. While culture and technology evolve, our values have remained consistent across our 123-year history: we take care of each other, our communities, and our country. Bill Ford shared clear-eyed advice for the company to survive another 123 years: always look forward, shed arrogance, and remain a “learning company.” https://lnkd.in/gjw3-k2h

In the latest episode of DRIVE, Jim Farley sits down with a man who defines the word "resilience": Sir Chris Hoy. Most know him as a six-time Olympic gold medalist, but his journey is a masterclass in adapting to change and finding improvement through failure. But their conversation goes much deeper than sport. Sir Chris opens up about his 2023 Stage 4 cancer diagnosis and how it has shifted his perspective on "living in the present." It is a powerful reminder that while we can’t always control the road ahead, we can control how we drive it. Listen to the full conversation on DRIVE:https://lnkd.in/epBDecYy.
Sir Chris Hoy is such an inspiration. He's a cycling legend with 7 Olympic medals and after 'retiring' he started a whole 2nd career in motorsport racing, became a best-selling author, and founded his charity project, Tour de 4. I’m so inspired by his desire to always adapt and improve. One of my favorite parts of our conversation is his advice to never put a limit on what you think you can achieve. Low. Fast. Built with style. 🛻💨 The Ford F-150 Lobo is a tribute to street truck culture, designed for the owners who want to stand out. By researching how customers were already customizing their trucks, our team was able to blend factory performance with authentic street substance. For lead exterior designer and longtime street truck enthusiast Joshua Blundo, working on the Ford F-150 Lobo pickup was a dream. “To have the opportunity to play a role in this revival has been as big a thrill as driving one.” Hear from the team behind the V-8 street truck. #WeAreFord #FordCareers #FordTrucks #FordF150Lobo #FordUniversity Bring your ideas to life at http://spr.ly/6045BBMazR

Summer intern season starts next week, and we’re excited to welcome our incoming class! We asked 2025 intern and now full-time stamping press engineer Sebastian Rojas Garcia about his experience and what made him say yes to a career at Ford. “As an intern last summer, I could see the camaraderie between coworkers,” he says. “It was clear to me that we all cared for each other beyond the scope of our roles, and that’s important to me. The stamping team made sure I had meaningful work and that I was learning, and that’s still true now.” “Also, at the University of Michigan we were taught ‘People-First Engineering,’ which is about centering people while participating in the technical aspects of our work,” says Sebastian. “It’s great to be joining a company that uses that same framework.” Sebastian also likes the idea of making a great product for customers like his dad. “My parents immigrated from Colombia and my dad worked hard to become a plant manager in the tire-retreading industry,” he says. “When he got the plant manager position, he got a Ford F-150 company truck and that meant the world to him. Knowing our customers are hard-working people like my dad is what excites me and motivates me.” One of the perks of being full time that he’s most excited about? The benefits. “I really appreciate the medical benefits. My partner is a therapist, and it’s great having her on my insurance.” He’s even looking into the optional pet insurance for their rescued pitbull, Maple. Welcome back to the team, Sebastian – and welcome to the soon-to-be Class of 2026 interns! Inspired by Sebastian’s journey from intern to full-time engineer? There’s nothing quite like seeing the future of Ford in action! Thank you to the thousands of children who joined us for Bring Your Child to Work Day, and an even bigger thank you to the parents and guardians who shared them with us. We are also incredibly proud of our skill teams for putting together such engaging activities that showcased the magic of what we build here. From a mini-Bronco Off-Roadeo to getting messy with modeling clay, it was a day full of learning, laughter, and inspiration. #WeAreFord #FordCareers #BringYourChildtoWorkDay
Bring Your Child to Work Day is one of my favorite traditions at Ford. It was especially fun this year kicking off the day with my own kids who work at the company—Alexandra, Will and Nick—for a lively Q&A with the children of employees. They came up with some great questions about our favorite cars, future technology, and funniest moments at Ford. We are fortunate to have so many multi-generational families who bleed Ford blue. Many of the kids today were wearing "Future Ford Employee" T-shirts. Based on the questions we heard today, I know our future is in very good hands.

Jim Farley’s latest guests on DRIVE are Darryl Woods—a man who transformed his life after nearly three decades in prison—and Kym Worthy, the prosecutor who helped pave the way for his second chance. This conversation goes beyond the legal system to explore faith, the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and the joy of a long-awaited reunion with family.
On DRIVE this week, you’ll hear from two remarkable people whose story has really stayed with me. It’s about the unlikely friendship between Darryl Woods — a Detroit minister, activist and public official — who spent 29 years in prison, and Kym Worthy, the prosecutor who once opposed his release. Now as friends, they reflect on second chances, forgiveness, and serving their community. “AI is not your path to perfection; it's your path to progress," Parita Patel told Arizona State University students during a recent campus visit. Ford’s head of Finance Operational Excellence advised students to embrace change but keep a steady perspective. "Those who benefit most from the AI revolution are those who know how to get the most out of AI," In addition to advice on how students can prepare for an evolving future, Parita gave students an inside perspective on the transformative impact of AI at Ford and spent time answering their questions for the evening. Helping students envision how classroom theories can be applied to real-world business challenges was time well-spent in Tempe. Tax returns are more than just a bonus for many Americans – they’re a lifeline, senior manager Will Walker says. “As Ford employees, we have the skills and expertise that help Ford, but we can also help others,” he says. Find out more about the impact Will and his team of Ford Finance volunteers make every year. Use your professional skills to make a personal difference by joining the team at www.careers.ford.com. #WeAreFord #FordPhilanthropy #FordVolunteerCorps
At Ford Motor Company, tax expertise doesn’t just stay within the Finance team. This year, a team of Ford Finance employee volunteers is helping Detroit residents secure roughly $1 million in tax refunds and savings. Through our long-standing partnership with Accounting Aid Society, Ford volunteers provide free tax preparation, helping individuals and families access credits and refunds they might otherwise miss. In one case, a single parent received nearly $12,000 in refunds — money they didn’t know they were eligible to receive. That's the impact when Ford Finance volunteers apply their expertise where it's needed most. This tax season’s work included: - 30 volunteers - 500+ hours contributed - ~$1M in refunds secured and fees saved For many households, tax refunds are the difference between getting by and getting ahead. Encouraging Ford employees to lend their skills is one way we’re driving real impact and making every dollar count. Promise kept. After becoming the first car from an American brand to break the 7-minute barrier at the Nürburgring, the new Mustang GTD Competition went to the “Green Hell” and shaved 11 seconds off our lap time, helping Ford secure the two fastest lap times of any American brand, including the Ford GT MkIV. The benchmark has been moved—and the world is officially on notice.
