Kindness creator Samuel Weidenhofer is on a mission to help 50 veterans in 50 states over 50 days through his For Your Service campaign. As featured in USA TODAY, this campaign was sparked by a powerful moment of collective generosity. After a video shared by Samuel inspired more than 60,000 people to give, over $1 million was raised to help an 88-year-old veteran retire. But what quickly became clear is that his story is not unique. Across the country, many veterans and their families continue to face financial hardship, from housing instability to medical challenges to working well into their later years just to get by. “I don’t think it’s just about helping 50 veterans… it’s about spreading awareness so there can be more support out there for veterans,” Samuel shared in his USA TODAY interview. This Military Appreciation Month, GoFundMe is proud to partner with Samuel Weidenhofer to launch For Your Service, a 50-day journey across all 50 states to support 50 veterans and their families while bringing greater visibility to the challenges they face. To bring people together around this mission, we’ve launched the For Your Service Community. It’s a shared space where people can follow the journey, discover stories, support veterans, and see the collective impact build over time. 50 days. 50 states. 50 veterans. We’re proud to launch For Your Service. It started with an 88-year-old veteran named Ed. Samuel Weidenhofer met Ed, who was still working to get by, and started a GoFundMe to help him retire. People showed up, and together, it changed his life. But Ed’s story raised a bigger question. How many other veterans are still facing the same challenges? Across the country, many veterans and their families continue to experience financial hardship, from housing instability to medical challenges to working well into their later years just to get by. This Military Appreciation Month, GoFundMe is proud to partner with Samuel on For Your Service. It’s a 50-day journey across all 50 states to support 50 veterans and their families and help move them toward lasting financial security. As part of this effort, we’ve launched the For Your Service Community. It’s a shared space where people can come together, discover stories, support veterans, and follow progress across all 50 states. We’re honored to be part of this journey and help bring these stories to life. Explore the For Your Service Community: https://gfme.co/4udn67U and stay tuned for Samuel’s first stop tomorrow.

She did it. 🐰🎉 At just 10 years old, Charlette — or "Lette" — has built something truly special. What started with one bunny named Clover in 2024 has grown into Floppy Jump Sanctuary, a loving home for 10 rescued rabbits and counting. Lette hasn't waited for someone else to make it happen. She's raised every dollar herself — selling handmade crafts and artwork, fostering kittens, and volunteering at spay/neuter clinics for colony cats. Because for Lette, every animal deserves care and a safe place to land. Her latest mission was bringing home Lloyd and Ellis — two bunnies who had been waiting in a shelter for over 15 months. Thanks to an incredible community of supporters, they're finally getting their furever home. 🥹 The sanctuary is just getting started. There are still more bunnies to care for, enclosures to build, and a greenhouse to grow — so Floppy Jump can thrive year-round and open its doors for "Breakfast with Bunnies" events to fund even more rescues. If Lette's story moves you, you can help her keep going right here 👇 https://gfme.co/4mHkkoX 🐇💚

Shay Taylor-Allen was born at Yale New Haven Hospital. For nearly 10 years, she cleaned its hallways as a janitor. This summer, she returns as a resident doctor in anesthesiology. Her path into medicine wasn't handed to her. She had no doctors in her family to look to — so she Googled "how to become a doctor" and figured it out step by step. She worked full time while earning her degree, then her master's, then a seat at Howard University College of Medicine. When Match Day came, she was heading back to Yale. But here's what the milestone doesn't show: new residents are expected to relocate within weeks of matching, with no income yet. Moving costs, deposits, first month's rent — it all hits at once. If her story moves you, consider contributing or simply sharing her GoFundMe with your network. Every dollar and every share matters. 🔗 https://gfme.co/4cO0gh4

Small businesses don’t just run on sales, they also run on community. These businesses serve as gathering places, sources of livelihood, and pillars of their communities. And when they face challenges, people show up. Take a look at these five fundraisers uplifting small businesses, from a Michelin-starred chef working to open her own pie shop to a beloved Persian restaurant fighting to stay open. Michelle's Sunnyside Pie Shop: https://gfme.co/4cMR4cU A Michelin-starred chef is close to opening her own pie shop, but contractor errors left her space not up to code. She now needs support to complete construction and cross the finish line. Kevin’s Seafood: https://gfme.co/4cMsEAf After more than 50 years serving the New Haven community, this beloved seafood restaurant closed due to medical challenges and unforeseen circumstances. The owner is now seeking community support to reopen. The Bureau of General Services—Queer Division: https://gfme.co/4vzgfak A community-led effort is underway to save Manhattan’s last queer bookstore and transition the shop to new ownership and keep it open. 🚌 Quirkshop Boutique: https://gfme.co/3OK4P2O After a deal fell through, this boutique owner lost her storefront and is now rebuilding her business as a traveling mobile shop. 🍢 Zendiggi Kebab House: https://gfme.co/483ruhd After nearly 15 years serving the community, this Persian restaurant has fallen behind on rent and expenses following rising costs and industry challenges. The owner is seeking support to keep the business open. If you believe in small businesses, consider sharing or contributing. Every bit helps. 💚
