Every skilled operator started somewhere, and technology is changing the learning curve. "With virtual reality and augmented reality, operators can experience realistic jobsite scenarios, build critical skills, and develop confidence before operating on an active site," said Curtis LeConte, project manager for next generation training. "The result? Equipment professionals who are ready to take on real-world challenges with confidence, helping customers maximize productivity from the moment work begins." The future of operator training isn't about replacing hands-on experience. It's about helping earthmovers arrive on the jobsite more prepared than ever.

America is built by people who show up and get the job done. A California family business passing down a legacy across four generations. A Tennessee startup helping communities recover when disaster strikes. A Kentucky contractor building the infrastructure we rely on every day. Three incredible stories. One winner.

Where others see a cornfield, we see a connection. A connection between baseball and agriculture. Between heritage and innovation. Between communities and the people who help them thrive. At MLB at Field of Dreams presented by John Deere, agriculture met America's pastime, history met the next generation, and service extended beyond the ballpark through a collective effort to pack 12,000 meals for families in need. http://spr.ly/6046B1ww8r

One thing I've learned from talking with farmers over the years is that there isn't a one-size-fits-all approach to equipment repair.   Some rely on their John Deere dealer. Some work with other independent service providers. Others prefer to tackle repairs themselves. What they all value is having options.   That's why John Deere launched John Deere Operations Center™ PRO Service a year ago, expanding access to advanced self-repair capabilities like software reprogramming, calibrations, and interactive diagnostics.   And it’s delivering results.   Thousands of John Deere customers are already using it including nearly a thousand active daily users.   To me, that level of adoption reinforces something we've heard from customers for years: having access to the right tools and information gives them greater flexibility and control over how they keep their operation running.   More info: https://lnkd.in/gDjxefdW

Most 6-year-olds dream about superheroes, theme parks, or meeting their favorite athletes. For Collin, it was tractors. His dream brought him and his family from upstate New York to Waterloo, Iowa, where he spent the day as a "Supervisor for a Day" through Make-A-Wish Central New York and Make-A-Wish Iowa. As a supervisor, he launched a robot and stamped tractors with his own "Collin Approved" seal. But Collin's story started long before his visit. His grandparents once owned a farm, and some of his earliest memories were tied to tractors. Since then, his interest in tractors has grown into something much bigger. From toys and collectibles to learning everything he can about the machines, Collin has become one of John Deere's biggest fans. As his mom says, "If John Deere makes it, he probably has it."

Yesterday John Deere announced that it has been named the presenting sponsor of the 2026 MLB at Field of Dreams game on August 13 in Dyersville, Iowa. Field of Dreams is a celebration that brings together baseball, agriculture, and the communities that help feed the world.   This event is about more than baseball. It honors the hard work, resilience and deep connection to the land that defines rural America, values that have shaped generations of farmers and continue to inspire the work we do at John Deere.   What makes this sponsorship especially meaningful is the impact beyond the game. Through our collaboration with Major League Baseball (MLB), MLB Together, River Bend Food Bank, and Feeding America, John Deere employees, dealers and customers will help pack approximately 12,000 meals for families across Iowa. The John Deere Foundation will also donate one million meals to communities nationwide through Big Hits. Bigger Impact.   This is what community looks like in action: honoring the people who work the land, celebrate America’s pastime, and make a meaningful difference for families.   https://lnkd.in/grAiEQdn

Some legacies are written in history books. Others are painted across factory walls. A new mural at John Deere Horicon Works brings decades of innovation and U.S. manufacturing to life, celebrating the craftsmanship behind our Gator™ utility vehicles, mowers, lawn tractors, and other products built at the factory over the years. Hand-painted by local artist James Barany, a professor at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, the artwork shows the evolution of Horicon Works and the products that have helped shape our legacy. "Every product that leaves Horicon Works represents the pride and commitment of our employees," said David Will, factory manager. "This mural celebrates the generations of people who have helped shape our history and the impact they've had on customers, our company, and this community."
