Industry Spotlight Series | Founders Federal Credit Union What happens when an organization grows for more than 75 years without losing sight of the mission that started it all? For Founders Federal Credit Union, the answer is a deep and lasting connection to the people and community it was created to serve. Founded in 1950 to serve workers of the cotton mills, Founders has remained rooted in its commitment to hardworking families and the blue-collar workforce; even as Lancaster County's economy and industries have evolved. In this week's Industry Spotlight, CEO Bruce Brumfield shares Founders' journey from its early days in Lancaster's textile community to its presence today, including its Lancaster County headquarters built 16 years ago. The story is a powerful example of how an organization's heritage can continue to shape its future. For Founders, growth has never meant abandoning its original purpose; it has meant finding new ways to live out that purpose for the community it calls home. #IndustrySpotlightSeries #FoundersFCU #EconomicDevelopment #LancasterCountySC #WorkforceDevelopment #BuiltInLancasterCounty #BuildingOurFuture

Growing a regional healthcare workforce takes more than hiring, it takes creating pathways for the next generation of healthcare professionals. In our latest Industry Spotlight Series video, Scott Broome, CEO of MUSC Health Catawba Region, discusses MUSC’s approach to workforce development and the importance of partnering with local educational institutions such as York Technical College and USC Lancaster. Through preceptorships and clinical rotations, these partnerships give students the hands-on experience they need to complete their nursing programs while also introducing them to career opportunities within their own communities. That connection between education, hands-on experience and employment can have a significant impact on the strength of a regional workforce. By investing in local training opportunities and building strong relationships with our educational partners, MUSC Health is helping develop a healthcare workforce that can meet the needs of our growing region. Workforce development is economic development, and it starts with creating opportunities close to home. #IndustrySpotlight #WorkforceDevelopment #HealthcareWorkforce #EconomicDevelopment
