Dr. Javaheri completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then went on to complete his Master of Science in Dentistry at Case Western Reserve University’s orthodontics program. Driven by the precision and problem-solving nature of orthodontics, Dr. Javaheri brings a unique perspective shaped by his leadership experience as a United States Air Force officer and his passion for digital technology and 3D innovation. He focuses on creating personalized treatment plans using advanced tools to deliver efficient, predictable results for every patient. What Dr. Javaheri values most about being an orthodontist is guiding patients through transformations that go beyond their smiles. The  team at Schenectady Pediatric Dentistry and Where Smiles Grow Pediatric Dentistry is excited to welcome Dr. Katherine Dority to the team! Dr. Kat completed her undergraduate studies at Boston University before earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University at Buffalo, where she also completed her Residency Program/Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Kat’s interest in dentistry began in childhood, when she would “play dentist” with her neighborhood friends. This early curiosity stayed with her through college, where everything came together during an internship at a pediatric dental office. Her major in Health Sciences, with its foundation in public health, aligned naturally with the fun, preventative focus of pediatric dentistry, making it a moment when everything finally made sense. “I love witnessing the visible transformation that happens when a child's oral health improves. Helping restore a mouth from active disease to health—alongside positive habit changes—is incredibly fulfilling”. Outside of the office, Dr. Kat enjoys spending time with family and friends, many of whom are based in Upstate New York—one of the reasons she is excited to be back. She finds joy in being outdoors and spending time at the lake. Dr. Kat is an avid snow skier, water skier, and wake surfer, and she hopes to take up horseback riding again as well as learn how to fly airplanes. The Albany Braces and Battiste Orthodontics teams thank Dr. J S.A. DeMeo for his dedication to both patients and the communities they serve. In just over a years’ time, Dr. DeMeo has made a meaningful and lasting impact. Dr. DeMeo earned his Bachelor of Science cum laude in Molecular and Cell Biology from Cornell University. He then attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Following graduation, Dr. DeMeo completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at Joint Base Anacostia–Bolling in Washington, DC. He later earned a Master of Science degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in San Antonio, Texas, where he also completed a Certificate in Orthodontics through the Tri-Service Orthodontic Residency Program. “My favorite part about being an orthodontist is the lasting friendships I make throughout treatment.
