  • April saw a range of community efforts across Tower’s offices — from an Earth Day cleanup in Cayman to youth rugby sponsorship in Leicester, a coral exploration event in Hong Kong, and a charity cycling event in Shanghai. We’re proud to support locally rooted initiatives that make a positive difference in the communities and environments where we live and work. • Tower was proud to sponsor IICPC Codefest 2026 and connect with an exceptional community of student problem-solvers from around the world. This year’s event brought together participants from over 30 countries, with 14,000+ students from 1,000+ universities across India — including all IITs — alongside talent from institutions such as Cambridge, NUS, and Stanford. At the finals in Chennai, we had the chance to support the competition, engage with participants, and share perspectives on quantitative trading and the intersection of technology and finance. We were also proud to see the winners of the Tower Coding Challenge recognized during the event. Congratulations to everyone who helped make Codefest 2026 such a success! • Internships at Tower are not one-size-fits-all. We offer tracks in quant trading, quant research, and quant engineering — each built around different problems, different workflows, and different kinds of impact. Our latest blog breaks down what each path actually involves, from live strategy and execution work to signal discovery and model validation to the systems and infrastructure that support production trading. It also looks at the skills that matter in each area and the candidate profiles best suited to them. For students considering a career in quantitative finance, understanding those distinctions is an important first step. • In Part 2 of our series on Prediction Markets, we examine headwinds and tailwinds for the sector in 2026, including the opaque regulatory environment and the current market concentration on sports betting. We also explore the future for these markets: key areas for product development like tools for pros, creative leverage, and monetizing informational externalities. • In our ongoing AMA series, we're sharing answers to frequently asked questions on how we build, operate, and evolve one of the world’s most sophisticated trading platforms. Today's question: What university majors or specific coursework should aspiring Tower employees pursue? A: STEM majors are usually the most directly relevant, especially mathematics, computer science, physics, and statistics. These fields tend to build the same core habits Tower looks for: comfort with quantitative problem-solving, strong analytical reasoning, and the ability to turn complex questions into clear, testable approaches. That said, there isn’t a single “required” course list. The best preparation is going deep in whatever track you choose and coming out with strong fundamentals in areas like probability, statistics, algorithms, and coding. We also look for people who can collaborate, communicate, and keep improving under pressure. Have more questions about our business, platform, or life at Tower? Let us know! • Last month, Tower CIO, John Cogman, addressed students at Warwick University, his alma mater, on building a career in finance. His presentation to Warwick Finance Societies offered a useful reminder that careers in this industry rarely follow a perfectly straight line. In our latest blog, we break out three lessons from John’s conversation with students: → Stay open-minded early on → Pay attention to the work that genuinely engages you → Once you find your lane, go deep Whether you’re exploring finance, technology, or quantitative trading, the path is often less about having it all mapped out from day one and more about building curiosity, sharpening your strengths, and developing real depth over time. At Tower, we’re proud to support these conversations and engage with the next generation of quants, technologists, and market professionals. Read the full blog here: https://lnkd.in/eKqRkHwa

  • Our CSR partnership with Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi is a great example of the potential of technology to empower the underserved. Together, we have built CoRE stack (Commoning for Resilience and Equality), an AI platform that converts satellite and field data into land and water management insights. By leveraging machine learning and remote sensing on satellite data, CoRE Stack provides rural communities with visibility into land-use changes, forest degradation, and groundwater stress through advanced hydrology modelling. Impact at a Glance: - 19 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) across 5 Indian states are using the developed tools - 10,000+ rural households have benefited - 398 field workers are actively deploying the tool in over 1,375 Indian villages This initiative directly supports India’s national AI goals, as echoed at the recent India AI Impact Summit 2026. We extend our heartiest congratulations to Prof. Aaditeshwar, Asst. Prof. Abhilash, and the team for being recognized as a top 20 finalist at the event’s “AI for ALL” challenge. Presenting at the Summit’s PAIRS workshop, the team showcased their on-the-ground AI approach, emphasizing that AI automation and decision support must never come at the cost of essential community participation. By transitioning AI from "pilot to platform," our CSR program is helping to ensure that rural India is not just a spectator of digital transformation, but a primary beneficiary.
