✂️ Today, Washoe County School District celebrated the ribbon cutting for the modernized George Getto Central Transportation Yard, a key Facilities Master Plan investment supporting long‑term operational excellence. The project consolidates maintenance shops, office and training space, adds enhanced school bus security, and incorporates energy‑efficient, EV‑ready infrastructure—strengthening our ability to safely and reliably serve students across the district. Before school, students can stop by the coffee area next to the cafeteria for a free breakfast featuring fresh-made smoothies, parfaits, fresh-baked cinnamon rolls, and a variety of grab-and-go breakfast items.
