The Houston Chapter of the Media Alliance of Houston awards several scholarships to college juniors or seniors studying to enter the media or a related field. Students must have at least one full-time semester left of college.

2014 Washington Media Fellows Scholarship
The Washington Media Scholars Foundation
This scholarship was open to full-time degree seeking students whose major or minor prepares them for a career in strategic public policy advertising research, management, planning and buying. These include, but are not limited to, mass communications, journalism, marketing (business or mass communications), and political science.
Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in their major concentration.
Graduate students are not eligible to enter the Media Fellows Program. -

The Dewitt Reddick Journalism Scholarship Fund was established by the Board of Regents of The University of Texas System on December 1, 1962, for the benefit of the College of Communication. Gift funds were provided by Miss Elizabeth C. Gibbons of Austin, Texas, a 1949 graduate of The University of Texas at Austin College of Communication and Mrs. Shirley K.
