As I begin my journey into the NBA, I'm proud to officially continue my partnership with the brand that has set the standard for generations and unveil my new logo. I've always dealt with pressure. The logo tells that story. Pressure forms diamonds, and that same shape forms a star with my initials. It's a reminder of where I've been and what got me here. Signing with Nike as a high schooler was a dream come true. The same brand KD, LeBron, Kobe, and MJ wore was now on my feet. Growing up, those were the shoes I wanted because those were the players I studied. To wear the swoosh now, with my name on it, is just unbelievable. Stepping into that lineage comes with a responsibility I take seriously. The athletes who came before me set a bar that pushes me to be the best version of myself, on and off the court. A year ago I learned that my name, "Anicet", translates from Greek to "undefeated." Looking back now, the alignment with Nike, the Greek goddess of victory, feels like more than coincidence. Thank you to the entire Nike family for believing in me from day one. To everyone who has been part of this journey, from Brockton to Provo and everywhere in between, I appreciate you. Adam Beard reposted thisAdam Beard reposted thisChris Farley, owner and president of Pacers Running, said Nike is outpacing all of its other vendors, with a 20 percent growth in sales so far in 2025, for instance, With five stores in Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia, Pacers has seen the Vomero 18 become its top-seller. The story, meanwhile, is the same for Philadelphia Runner and Heartbreak Hill Running Company, which has locations in Boston, Chicago and Santa Monica, Calif. Heartbreak Hill Running Co. co-founder Dan Fitzgerald, who’s also a Nike Running coach, said the Pegasus franchise has always sold well in his stores and credits the Swoosh with creating the super shoe. Adam Beard shared thisIn 2019, I started a new job within NIKE, Inc. working for the Jordan Brand. Nearly 6 years later, as I prepare to begin a new chapter within the Swoosh focusing on Nike Running, I am filled with an immense amount of gratitude. I am thankful for the experiences I've been fortunate to receive - whether that's traveling the world, working with elite athletes to tell their stories, overcoming challenges, implementing new ideas, or being a part of a team that has led amazing activations and so much more. Personally, I’ve been through my highest of highs and the lowest of lows while working for the Jordan Brand. All of which I am grateful for and all of which helped me grow. Most of all, I’m grateful for my teammates and the people who I have met, worked with, learned from, learned with, and were by my side. You all know who you are. Throughout the entire way, you made the job what it is for me, and it has been a huge honor and privilege to work with you to continue to evolve the legacy of the most inspirational brand in the world. Week one took me straight to the Global HQ, PHK campus, in Oregon, where I got to meet the amazing comms teams from across the world, explore the stunning campus and experience all things Nike. Couldn't have asked for a better way to kick things off and I'm so so excited for this new adventure! It's a bittersweet close to the NBA chapter, but I'm so grateful for every bit of it - the highs, the lows, and everything in between. It’s been one hell of a ride.

Adam Beard liked thisAdam Beard liked this“For most of his soaring rise as the prospective No.1 pick in a stacked NBA draft, 19-year-old AJ Dybantsa Jr. had no idea of the power he possessed in his first name. “About a year ago, somebody asked me, ‘What’s AJ stand for?’” he recalls. “I told them, ‘Anicet.’ They asked, ‘What’s that mean?’ And, honestly, I didn’t know. So, I looked it up. It turns out that my name translated from Greek means ‘undefeated.’” Sitting inside his childhood home in Brockton, Mass., AJ told this story the night before announcing the biggest decision of his life. On April 23, the 6-foot-9 wing player officially declared for the 2026 NBA Draft, following a one-and-done, All-American freshman season at Brigham Young University (BYU). To make the announcement, AJ returned to his former school, Davis Elementary, where his name is immortalized on a page he scribbled into his first-grade yearbook: My name is Anicet…When I grow up, I’d like to be a basketball player. Adam Beard liked thisAdam Beard liked thisWhen I committed to BYU, I knew I was signing up for something bigger than basketball. A lot of people questioned the decision. For me, the choice was simple. I wanted to go to the place that would best develop me as a basketball player and as a person. BYU was the program that gave me the clearest path to both. The moment I stepped on campus, I knew I made the right call. This school welcomed me in, raised the standard for me, and made me a better person every single day I was there. From the coaching staff to the professors to the fans walking across campus, this is a community unlike any other in college sports. Coach Young, thank you for trusting me with the keys to your program. You came to BYU with an NBA mind and a deep belief in what this place could become. You pushed me harder than I've ever been pushed, and you cared about me as a person before you cared about me as a player. I'll carry the lessons you taught me for the rest of my life. To my teammates, the bond we built this year goes way beyond basketball. The film sessions, the bus rides, the late nights in the gym, the conversations that had nothing to do with the game. Y'all are brothers for life. I'm rooting for every single one of you. To Coug Nation, what y'all do for this program is special. The way fans show up for BYU basketball is unlike anything in the country. The kindness I felt walking around campus and the city of Provo, the families who treated me like one of their own, the kids who came up to me everywhere I went. That's the part of this experience I'll remember most. I am proud to have worn the Y. I'm proud to have represented this university. I'm proud to be a Cougar for life. The next chapter starts now, but BYU will always be a part of who I am. Go Cougs. 🤍
