This report will give you insight to create, guide, and champion culture-based initiatives and programs to reduce workplace stress and build enhanced employee engagement and psychologically safe workplaces. Alan King reacted on thisAlan King reacted on thisStill riding the high from yesterday’s 321 Day Conference put on by 321 Coffee | Specialty Coffee Roasters at Marbles Kids Museum! 💙 From the moment I walked in, the room was filled with enthusiasm, love, and laughter. Between (multiple!) delicious 321 lattes and a lineup of phenomenal speakers, many from the 321 team, I left feeling inspired and energized. Hearing firsthand how intentional inclusion creates confidence, independence, and opportunity sparked so many ideas just waiting for a "yes" to get going. Highlights were hearing Tanner Smith (many of you know him from Netflix's Love on the Spectrum) and his mom, Nicci Smith, speak about the power of an inclusive mindset. Hearing the stories from Barista's Aaron, Megan, Drey on their accomplishments and journey... Their message's were clear: when we include individuals with IDD in the workforce, everyone benefits. From showing off crazy socks with my friend and ultimate Barista Aaron, celebrating big moments with new and familiar faces, getting a big hug from Tanner after his speech, and sharing the experience with my WPO colleagues, it was a day I won’t forget. Proud that my company supports both 321 Coffee and Marbles, and grateful to play even a small role in such an impactful event. Here’s to continuing to say “yes” to inclusion—and watching the ripple effect that follows. ✨ Lindsay Wrege Workplace Options #wpocares Alissa (Ali) Elliot, MSW Susie Silver, CDE® Kristin Nahorodny Mallory (Bryan) Rinderer

Alan King liked thisAlan King liked thisI had the privilege of attending and speaking at this year’s Behavioral Health Tech conference in San Diego — a gathering that continues to remind me why this work matters so deeply. It was wonderful to reconnect with old friends and colleagues who have been walking this path of innovation and care for years, and to meet so many new leaders and partners who are shaping the next chapter of behavioral health. The conversations — both on stage and in the hallways — reinforced the incredible momentum we’re seeing at the intersection of technology, clinical care, and human connection. For me, attending wasn’t just about sharing insights; it was about listening. Hearing how others are addressing access, equity, and the evolving needs of a global workforce gave me renewed energy and perspective. My key takeaway? Technology is a powerful tool — but it’s people who make the difference. Our ability to bring empathy, evidence, and innovation together will determine how effectively we support mental well-being in the years ahead. I’m grateful to have been part of the dialogue and to represent Workplace Options and TELUS Health , where we continue to bridge clinical expertise with scalable solutions that put people first. Until next year — onward in the work of connection, compassion, and care. — Dr. K #BHT2025 #mentalhealth #wellbeing #corporatehealth

Alan King liked thisAlan King liked thisThe Hiking Guide to Leadership Strategy ⛰️ It’s easy for leaders to get stuck in the day-to-day grind. You’re putting out fires, responding to endless emails, and managing a team struggling with daily decisions. When you’re in the weeds, it’s impossible to see the horizon. The result? You forget to prioritize the one thing that will drive your team forward: strategy. One of my favorite activities is hiking, and I’ve found the principles of a good hike are the same as a good strategy. I never start a new trail without a plan. I check the route, review the elevation, and consider the terrain. I prepare for what I need (water, fuel, the right gear) and what to expect (parking, trail popularity). When I’m on the trail, I look down to avoid tripping, but I also look up to ensure I'm on the right path and getting closer to my goal—that incredible view from the mountaintop. Leaders must do the same. Strategy isn't a one-time event; it's a constant process of looking up to see the big picture. Strategy includes: Setting Goals and Priorities: Analyzing risks, challenges, and barriers to define where you’re going. Determining Actions: Identifying the tactical steps needed to achieve those goals. Reviewing Resources: Making sure you have the right people, tools, and support to get there. Executing the Plan: Taking the necessary steps, while periodically checking your progress. When a team understands the "why" behind the daily "what," it empowers them to make better decisions and stay motivated on their journey. How do you ensure your team understands the strategy and vision? Remember, while they are taking the tactical steps, they need to know what they are working towards—that amazing view that inspired them to take the hike in the first place! One-third of workers surveyed experienced 15 major organizational changes in a single year. The effects are showing up in wellbeing, workload, clarity and engagement. The old model of managing change through episodic programs and top-down communications is struggling to keep pace. https://conta.cc/4bmLNrR

Is this benefit worth it? It’s the question every benefits leader is being asked right now. With budgets under pressure and PEPM models adding up, behavioral health solutions are under a close lens. Substance use isn’t always top of mind when evaluating cost-effective benefit programs. But it plays a major role in driving up medical spend — costing employers and payers more than $15,000 per person each year. Despite this, and data showing 48.5 million people are living with a SUD, fewer than 10% receive the care they need. Pelago’s mission has always been to break down barriers to substance use care that works. We’ve seen how access to support can change lives, and now we can show how it changes the numbers too. Our new peer-reviewed study, the only one to measure real-world cost savings from digital substance use care, reveals what’s possible when access improves: ✅ $6,758 average savings per engaged participant ✅ 33% lower medical claims costs ✅ 4.5:1 return on investment Read the highlights below and learn what’s driving better outcomes for individuals and the organizations that support them.

How can group leaders boost confidence in high-acuity settings? High-acuity behavioral health settings challenge even the most experienced group leaders. When stakes are high, confidence and engagement can waver, impacting group dynamics and client outcomes. Consider this: a group leader at a residential program integrated structured, trauma-informed tools and saw group participation increase by 30% within weeks. This improvement wasn't accidental—it came from using resources designed specifically for these intense environments. For group leaders, this means adopting practical strategies and evidence-based curricula can transform uncertainty into assurance. Tools that meet SAMHSA standards and reduce prep time empower group leaders to focus on what matters most: supporting clients. What practical step will you take this week to lead with more confidence and engagement? Leading groups in high-acuity behavioral health doesn't have to feel overwhelming. With the right resources, you can foster meaningful connection and clinical impact every session. #MentalHealthAwareness #MentalHealthMatters #EndTheStigma #YouAreNotAlone #SelfCare #WellnessJourney #EmotionalWellbeing #Therapy #Mindfulness #Healing #TraumaRecovery #AnxietyRelief #DepressionSupport #RelationshipTherapy #PTSD #CBT #HolisticHealth #PersonalGrowth #ArizonaTherapist #AZTherapist #PhoenixTherapy #PhoenixCounseling #ScottsdaleTherapy #TucsonMentalHealth #ArizonaWellness #OnlineTherapyArizona #MentalHealthPhoenix #TraumaInformedCare #AnxietySupport #PTSDSupport #HealingJourney #SelfCompassion #HolisticHealing #TherapeuticRelationship #ItsOkayToNotBeOkay

For years, the goal of workplace mental health benefits was clear: 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀. Employers invested in Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs), digital tools, and expanded provider networks to ensure employees could get the care they needed. But here’s the problem: outcomes aren’t following. Despite increased access, many organizations continue to see declining employee focus, reduced productivity, and ongoing retention challenges. This disconnect is what Lyra Health defines as the “Performance Paradox.” In this upcoming webinar, Lyra Health will explore why access alone is no longer enough and what organizations must do next to truly support workforce mental health.
