Laura McAtee reposted thisLaura McAtee reposted thisAs organizations across the Gulf region contend with lingering uncertainty, the need to support employee wellbeing has never been more urgent. In a new episode of Wellbeing at Work, a Workplace Options podcast, Senior Account Manager Hadeel Al Far and clinical psychologist Dana Bissar discuss how leaders can guide their teams forward in the wake of regional disruption. Together, they explore: - how trauma responses emerge gradually after a crisis, and how they might show up in the workplace - the essential role of leaders in recognizing early signs of distress and responding with flexibility, compassion, and support - how the EAP acts as a lifeline in critical moments, enabling employees to access timely care and regain a sense of stability Listen now on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, or at https://lnkd.in/eyCN8dgH. #WPOCares #EmployeeWellbeing #WorkplaceWellbeing #Leadership #CrisisSupport #Resilience

Laura McAtee shared thisMarbles Kids Museum BIG IDEA Conference was a hit! Workplace Options is incredibly proud to sponsor Marbles Kids Museum and this conference—it’s truly an honor to support such an important pillar in the Raleigh community. The impact Marbles has is immeasurable, and every time I attend, I’m blown away by the creativity, innovation, and heart of this team. This conference is the perfect mix of Play, Learning, and FUNdamentals. From playing bongos in a drum circle, to vocal warmups, to striking a pose with playful props for our “playbill” photos—it was a joyful reminder of the power of play. One of the biggest highlights was hearing from Alton Fitzgerald White, the longest-running Mufasa on Broadway (over 4,000 performances!). As someone who grew up obsessed with The Lion King—and now has a toddler who is equally obsessed—this was such a full-circle moment. And yes… he sang, and yes… it was incredible. But what really stayed with me was his message about gratitude. Taking a moment to appreciate where you are today—especially when it’s so easy to move on to the next goal or challenge. Thinking about the hopes and dreams you had 6 months, 1 year, or 5 years ago, and recognizing how far you’ve come—that’s something I’m going to hold onto. Grateful for this experience, for my company’s commitment to supporting such meaningful work, and for the Marbles team for putting on such an unforgettable event. Already looking forward to next year! Workplace Options Marbles Kids Museum Alton Fitzgerald White Billie Smith-Jones Kristin Nahorodny Ayse Tillman Avery Goldman Mark Vavra

Laura McAtee shared thisStill riding the high from yesterday’s 321 Day Conference put on by 321 Coffee | Specialty Coffee Roasters at Marbles Kids Museum! From the moment I walked in, the room was filled with enthusiasm, love, and laughter. Between (multiple!) delicious 321 lattes and a lineup of phenomenal speakers, many from the 321 team, I left feeling inspired and energized. Hearing firsthand how intentional inclusion creates confidence, independence, and opportunity sparked so many ideas just waiting for a "yes" to get going. Highlights were hearing Tanner Smith (many of you know him from Netflix's Love on the Spectrum) and his mom, Nicci Smith, speak about the power of an inclusive mindset. Hearing the stories from Barista's Aaron, Megan, Drey on their accomplishments and journey... Their message's were clear: when we include individuals with IDD in the workforce, everyone benefits. From showing off crazy socks with my friend and ultimate Barista Aaron, celebrating big moments with new and familiar faces, getting a big hug from Tanner after his speech, and sharing the experience with my WPO colleagues, it was a day I won’t forget. Proud that my company supports both 321 Coffee and Marbles, and grateful to play even a small role in such an impactful event. Here’s to continuing to say “yes” to inclusion—and watching the ripple effect that follows. ✨ Lindsay Wrege Workplace Options #wpocares Alissa (Ali) Elliot, MSW Susie Silver, CDE® Kristin Nahorodny Mallory (Bryan) Rinderer

At 321 Day, I was proud to have Kurt Merriweather, CDE® with Workplace Options lead a powerful roundtable discussion on inclusive leadership. What I appreciated most? He skipped the vague, feel-good talk and shared real, actionable ways to build inclusive teams. After being a part of the conversation, Mallory Bryan brought an idea back really resonated with her: the concept of creating a “User Guide" -- a short doc where each team member outlines how they work best: communication style, pet peeves, strengths, quirks, and more. Simple idea. Big impact. Imagine how much more productive (and kind!) our collaboration could be when we proactively share that kind of information. Thanks to Kurt for the tangible lessons—and to Mallory for leading our team to bring new ideas into action. I'm grateful we have a team and community committed to being an example of what practical inclusion looks like in real life -- knowing we'll be better off because of it. 💛 #InclusionInAction #Leadership #EmployeeExperience #321Coffee #321Day #InclusiveWorkplaces

Laura McAtee liked thisLaura McAtee liked thisToday I noticed something small that said a lot about leadership. On the team page for 321 Coffee | Specialty Coffee Roasters, the baristas are listed first and the directors are listed last. Most companies do the opposite. Leadership at the top, everyone else below. But flipping that order sends a clear message: the people at the heart of the mission come first. For a company built around creating employment opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, that choice isn't just symbolic. It centers dignity and visibility in a really intentional way. Sometimes culture isn't what companies say, it's the small structural decisions that reveal what they actually value.

Laura McAtee liked thisLaura McAtee liked thisYou know those moments where you don’t realize you’ve been holding your breath until you finally exhale? There was a moment at this year’s 321 Day Conference where everything got quiet. The IMAX theater filled. The lights dimmed. Months of planning had all led to that moment. And for the first time in a long time, I wasn’t doing. I was just sitting. Watching it all come to life. I exhaled. Dropped my shoulders. Smiled. It was time for me to sit down, and for our speakers to take the stage. I was SO excited for our audience to hear the perspectives, challenges, and wins from all different kinds of people we had brought together to share about their piece of this collective journey towards creating a more inclusive world. Ultimately, I was able to exhale and smile because I knew these two things: 1. The quality of what you build is only a reflection of the team of people you build it with. 2. We had a KILLER team of people who built this event ... so we were about to have a KILLER event! I could spend my entire work week giving each person on this team the spotlight they deserve, but duty calls. So here's my speed round! The ENTIRE 321 Coffee | Specialty Coffee Roasters team who stepped in for an all hands day during an already busy season!!! This event would only be an idea without you. Our speakers, truly the heart of it all. Thank you for sharing your time and stories with us. (Matthew Schwab, Debbie Antonelli, Nick Haritos, Noah Watts, + more.) Lindsay Wrege and Michael Evans, who laid a strong foundation for everything we do at 321, and continue to trust me with building on their vision. Kailey Wrege, who leveled up the expectations and execution of this event alongside me every step of the way. Burt's Media Services who helped us show stories (in IMAX!!) instead of just telling them. (Jacob Burt (Jeb) Garrett Joyce Myia Lambe Steffen Gonzalez) Jamie Bockover, whose graciously gave guidance to my many questions that made every detail stronger. The Attended Events team, who executed the mainstage AV without a hitch. (Even when we completely changed the run of show minutes before the doors opened because of the tornado warnings. Impressive.) Emily Berry and A Place at the Table for executing such a large catering order on top of the work they do everyday in our city. Mark Vavra and Marbles Kids Museum for providing the best venue to level up this experience, and having fun while doing it! Emily Bennett for capturing every moment in the most radiant way. And finally, my husband, Caleb Rinderer. My teammate for life! You encourage and empower me to do more in all areas of my life than ever before. This year, we built an event that was bigger and better than ever because our team was bigger and better than ever. I'm so grateful for what we created, and even more grateful for who I got to create it with. All glory to God for the path he's placed me on, and the people he's place around me. Say thank you to your team today!

Therapist onboarding shouldn’t take four weeks. But for Behavioral Progression, that was the reality—until they switched to HR Cloud. Behavioral health teams lose valuable time when onboarding is manual, inconsistent, and dependent on paper files. That’s exactly where Behavioral Progression struggled. Their HR team spent hours answering repeated questions, tracking missing documents, and trying to prepare new therapists to support clients. Here’s what changed when they moved to HR Cloud: ▪ Onboarding time dropped by 3× ▪ New-hire questions reduced by more than half ▪ Therapists reached client-readiness nearly two weeks faster ▪ HR finally gained clear visibility into every step of the process This is the difference a structured, automated onboarding system makes—especially for healthcare and behavioral-health organizations where every day impacts patient outcomes. If your onboarding still feels slow, manual, or difficult to track, it’s time to upgrade. Psychological claims in workers’ compensation are increasing, and understanding them early is critical for risk mitigation, compliance, and workforce stability. This session provides a deeper look at psych claims through two complementary perspectives: what clinicians are observing when employees present with work-related mental health concerns, and how employers can respond early and proactively. Topics include recognizing early indicators, supporting employee performance, reducing exposure, and meeting Interactive Process obligations before claims escalate. Expert insights will be shared by Dianne Vass, VP of Client Relations, Frances Saponaro, NP, and Dr. Debra Dupree, PsyD. "We need to talk about real, systemic solutions that allow therapists to do the work they are meant to do." - Ted Faneuff LISW-S, LMSW, LCSW, We couldn't agree more. Our clinical leaders (like Ted!) recently surveyed 500+ therapists on how AI is shaping their work. 🫴 87% said they were more emotionally available to clients in session 😮💨 82% reported AI helped reduce feelings of burnout and exhaustion 😶🌫️ 91% said AI reduced the mental effort required to administer care 🤔 86% said that the time saved allowed them to be more engaged or reflective Here’s the thing: the conversation around AI in mental health shouldn't be about AI replacing therapists or improving care. That’s the wrong solution to the wrong problem. The real problem? ⚠️ Clinicians are drowning in admin, systemic dysfunction, and burnout. ⚠️ Patients are left waiting because the people who care for them are running on empty. Therapists already know how to care for their clients. What they need is support — tools and systems that give them the time, space, and energy to do it sustainably. Ted’s full analysis of the survey findings (link in comments 👇) dives deeper into what these numbers mean for the future of care. #AIethics #therapistlife #behavioralhealth #therapy #ai

BCBAs and Clinical Directors know the struggle: keeping clinical quality high while hitting specific supervision targets and insurance requirements is a constant balancing act. TheraDriver's Authorization Reporting takes the guesswork out of the equation. We’ve built a system that doesn't just store data but actively tracks progress against your goals in real time. Stay ahead of your clinical requirements with these three key features: 1️⃣ 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 / 𝗘𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴: Monitor and measure clinical direction goals to ensure progress is on track within each specific authorization period. 2️⃣ 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗳 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴: Keep track of RBT supervision goals and ensure they are being met without manual auditing. 3️⃣ 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹-𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀: View up to date tracking of both client and staff goals over the course of the week or any given authorization period. This makes it easier to adjust schedules and optimize service delivery on the fly. Stop reacting to authorization overages or under-utilization and start managing your practice with precision. Research shows that 80% of parent support needs go unmet by employer benefits and health plans, leaving families without the guidance and resources they need. Supporting a child’s well-being requires more than just medical care. It also means addressing mental health, behavioral needs, and caregiving support in a coordinated way. That’s why we’re proud to partner with Bend Health, Blueberry Pediatrics, and Vitalxchange as we expand WINkid to bring comprehensive pediatric and parenting support to families. Through our partnerships and the expanded WINkid program, we are helping close this gap by providing families with accessible, comprehensive support all in one place. With WINkid, families can access nurse care advocates, virtual pediatric care visits with board-certified pediatricians, behavioral health support, and age-based caregiving resources, all in one place, in the WINFamily App. By combining these resources, families can get guidance when they need it, reducing stress at home and giving parents the confidence to stay engaged at work. We’re proud to make family-centered care more accessible and easier to navigate, helping children, teens, and young adults thrive, while supporting working parents in balancing their own well-being alongside their family’s. Creating an inclusive hiring process doesn’t have to be complicated. In fact, building for neurodivergent talent benefits all candidates by reducing unnecessary pressure, ambiguity, and bias. Here are five impactful ways to make your interview process more equitable and neurodivergent-friendly, starting today: 🔹 Provide interview questions in advance When candidates have time to process and prepare, they’re able to present their ideas more clearly and confidently. For individuals with ADHD, autism, or anxiety, this support reduces executive function strain and levels the playing field. It’s not “giving away the answers”. It's creating conditions for success. 🔹 Normalize flexibility in the process Instead of waiting for disclosure (which probably won’t happen), integrate inclusive language like: "Is there anything we can adjust to help you feel more comfortable in this process?" This simple act of proactivity signals psychological safety and supports diverse communication, sensory, and processing needs. 🔹 Assess for skill, not fit Culture fit can unconsciously reinforce bias and exclusion. Assessing candidates for how their unique strengths, ideas, and working styles can add to your culture, not simply match it. Inclusion happens when we make space for difference, not when we filter it out. 🔹 Be clear, consistent, and structured Neurodivergent applicants may struggle with ambiguity or sudden changes. Provide clear information about who they’ll meet, how long interviews will take, what they’ll be asked, and what to expect next. This helps reduce anxiety, builds trust, and allows all candidates to show up as their best selves. 🔹 Train your interviewers Without awareness of neurodivergent communication styles, processing differences, and rejection sensitivity, etc. even the most well-intentioned interviewers may misread behaviors or overlook potential. Training builds understanding and ensures your team evaluates based on ability, not assumptions. Need help building Neuro-inclusive hiring practices? That’s what we do.
