Ann Moenius reacted on thisAnn Moenius reacted on thisEveryone is racing to add AI to their CX operations. Few are asking the more important question first: is the underlying process actually worth automating? Deloitte found that many early AI initiatives failed for exactly this reason: they automated broken or clunky processes instead of redesigning them for the modern customer. A broken resolution process, automated, doesn't become a good process. It becomes a faster, more consistent broken one. The organizations winning with AI in 2026 aren't the ones who moved fastest. They're the ones who did the unglamorous work first — mapping workflows, identifying failure points, and fixing the process before they touched the technology. AI is a multiplier. If what you're multiplying is broken, the math doesn't get better. Full article in comments for context. #CXOperations #CustomerExperience #AI #OperationalExcellence

Ann Moenius reacted on thisAnn Moenius reacted on thisWhen I look back at my transition from mid-market CSM to enterprise, the truth is: I wasn’t ready 😅 Not because I lacked skill, but because I hadn’t learned how to think yet. Quick story. I once interviewed for a role where they were deciding if I should be mid-market or enterprise. The Chief Customer Officer gave me a scenario and asked how I would handle it. I thought I crushed it - Confident. Clear. Straight to a solution. He didn’t think so and I got the mid-market role. At the time, I didn’t fully understand why. Now I do. He wasn’t looking for the “right” answer. He was looking at my critical thinking skills. • Did I pause? • Did I ask questions? • Did I try to understand the full picture before jumping to a solution? I didn’t. I went straight into fix-it mode. And that’s the shift. In mid-market, you are often executing and reacting. In enterprise, you are expected to think, shape, and lead. You own the strategy. And yes, you have more resources. But that is the catch. You need to know: • When to pull people in • What context they need • What decision needs to be made • The action they need to take • When to escalate internally and when to reset expectations with the client These are not brainstorming sessions anymore. These are strategic rooms where: • You set the agenda • You control the narrative • You assign actions • You follow through Also, no one tells you this, but your internal team kind of becomes your second customer 😂 Another surprise for me: you start writing emails for executives. Your C-levels and VPs do not know your account like you do. And frankly, they do not have time to draft messages from scratch. So you do it. You frame the story. You make it easy for them to step in. The bigger the account, the less you can “operate in the shadows.” Now it is: All eyes on you 👀 More scrutiny Earlier risk detection More pressure (yes, that part is real) Day to day, it looks like: Less “how it should be” More “what is actually happening” More alignment More navigating people and priorities It is strategy, but it is also a bit of politics. On both sides. I learned this the hard way but you don’t have to. If you feel stuck: • Use AI as a thought partner and give it full context • Ask it to challenge your thinking or respond like your customer • Or go to a more experienced CSM, but come with a point of view Enterprise CSM work is not about having all the answers. It is about knowing how to think before you answer. #CustomerSuccess #EnterpriseCS #CareerGrowth #Leadership #SaaS #GrowthMindset

Ann Moenius reacted on thisAnn Moenius reacted on thisA few months ago I bought a mini PC for less than $700 and spent my weekends building a personal AI agent network. I was skeptical at first. The unlock wasn't a tech revelation. It was sitting down and writing out all the small things I do every week that I could use some help on — scheduling, meal planning, tracking finances, family logistics. As that list grew it became obvious there was something here worth building. The other draw was running AI models locally on my own hardware. Ongoing cost is basically just electricity. The tradeoff is real though — consumer hardware has genuine constraints today and local models aren't at the level of Claude Sonnet or GPT-4o. Eyes open on that going in. OpenClaw is an open source framework for running multiple AI agents locally — each with their own memory and connected tools. Worth looking up if you haven't come across it. One thing I'd do again: I mapped out all my agents and use cases before the hardware even arrived. That upfront planning made the agents useful much faster once I got through the foundational setup headaches. I now have seven running. The three I use every day: a morning briefing agent that pulls my calendar and email before I'm out of bed, a home agent that handles meal planning and family coordination — I took a photo of my son's end-of-school calendar and it added all 26 remaining events directly to our family scheduling app — and a financial agent that tracks and analyzes spending across accounts. I am not an engineer. I wrote zero code. Every command, every config file, every fix — I described the problem to Claude and it told me what to run. Three things I didn't see coming: - The infrastructure debugging takes longer than the actual AI setup — budget a full weekend before you touch any agent logic - Silent failures are harder to diagnose than loud ones — when an agent quietly stops working with no error, that's a bad day - Getting something to "work" is completely different from getting it to reliably run at 6:30am every morning without babysitting I learned more breaking things than I ever would have reading about AI. That's the whole point. If you're curious and want to learn from my failures before making your own, drop me a message.

Ann Moenius reacted on thisAnn Moenius reacted on thisI love hosting. Inviting people into your home hits different than meeting at a restaurant or conference room - it’s more personal, more real, and (let’s be honest) makes it much easier to not use BS buzzwords. Last night, I got to host a group of RevOps nerds from across Austin (and one who made the trek from Dallas) alongside 🐰 Jen and team. And as expected… put a bunch of RevOps nerds at a dinner table and you get straight to the good stuff: – The same problems showing up across completely different companies – What works at one company completely falls apart at another — your GTM stack isn’t “best practice,” it’s phase-dependent – A little nostalgia for simpler Salesforce days – And a lot of honest takes on where all of this is heading next What stood out most wasn’t just the conversation... it was how quickly the room dropped the polished narratives. No decks, no positioning, just people actually doing the work, comparing notes, and being a little unfiltered 🌶️ Turns out… we’re all a lot more similar than we think. Appreciate everyone who came out and made it what it was. And big thanks to 🐰 Jen Igartua, Clay, and crew for making these kinds of nights happen. Because if RevOps is always chaotic… we might as well have a elite dinner party about it. Kudos to Madeline Mack for organizing and ensuring my house was not destroyed! They’re navigating emotionally charged, technically complex calls that directly impact customer satisfaction and FCR. Leaders who succeed don’t just automate. They invest in people. In fact, 70% of top AI adopters are allocating budget to capability building. 👉 Learn what your frontline needs to deliver on complex calls: https://bit.ly/41rnBiN

Your pipeline doesn’t need more activity. It needs more control. Most revenue teams operate reactively. Inbound spikes. Outbound slows. Reps chase what responds. But control & clarity disappear when execution depends on rep discretion instead of system governance. The root issue isn’t effort variance. It’s the absence of a defined revenue operating rhythm. Without structured prioritization, high-probability accounts receive the same attention as low-intent noise. Follow-ups become inconsistent. Momentum fragments across the pipeline. Predictability is not built on hustle. It’s built on orchestration. When account prioritization, stage velocity thresholds, and signal-triggered actions are standardized, revenue becomes measurable — not hopeful. Volume creates motion. Control creates outcomes. The difference between chaotic growth and engineered growth isn’t talent. It’s whether your pipeline runs on activity… or on architecture. #B2BSaaS #RevenueOperations #RevOps #SalesLeadership #PipelineControl #GoToMarket #SaaSRevenue #RevenueStrategy

Most sales and revenue leaders experience process adoption as a discipline problem with the frontline team. When reps don’t follow the process, visibility breaks down. The default response is more reminders, tighter definitions, and more enforcement. Leadership spends more time repeating the same thing over and over again. Most of the time, the reps aren't outright resisting the administration or process. They're just focused on what is more productive. The process is secondary to revenue, so they treat it that way. When the organization treats process as "just do the administration," the process becomes an obstacle to overcome. It doesn't help the frontline team produce revenue, so it will always take a back seat. No matter how well intentioned it is. We go deeper on this in this weeks newsletter, and share what has solved this problem in sales and revenue organizations (link in comments).

In most contact centers, less than 5% of calls get reviewed for quality. That means 95% of customer interactions and agent performance go unmonitored. Because traditional QA is manual, time-consuming, and impossible to scale. Enter GenAI-powered quality assurance. SupervizeAI automatically scores every call using advanced ML trained on 10MM+ interactions, providing comprehensive visibility across 100% of your customer conversations. When every call is evaluated fairly and consistently, agents get the feedback they need to grow, supervisors get the insights they need to coach, and leadership receives the data they need to drive business outcomes. Quality assurance at scale is operationally smarter and strategically essential.

Your top sales rep closes at 47%. Your average rep closes at 12%. That 35-point gap is a $2.3M operational failure—not a talent problem. We reverse-engineered 10,000 sales interactions using AI. The result? The exact objection-handling sequence, discovery framework, and closing cadence that turns average reps into top performers in 90 days. Sales isn't art. It's engineering. Stop guessing. Most contact centers are optimizing the wrong metric. AHT feels like a safe KPI. Easy to track. Easy to report. But it’s leading too many teams down the wrong path. Speed doesn’t always mean satisfaction. Or resolution. Agents cut corners. Customers call back. CSAT drops. See below for what actually matters, and the metrics that top contact centers are shifting to now.

Growth is not about adding more sellers or chasing more deals. It is about building a system that compounds. The top 1% build revenue engines where every customer interaction adds value, every renewal is secured before it is even requested, and every channel meets the buyer at the precise moment it matters most. The difference? ▸ They do not chase growth. They architect it. ▸ They do not prevent churn. They make it unthinkable. ▸ They do not scale headcount. They scale leverage. At XAVOR, we call this Revenue Architecture, the discipline of designing systems that grow stronger, not just bigger. It is how our clients lift net revenue retention, accelerate sales cycles, and make growth a repeatable outcome.

Your pipeline looks full, but deals aren't converting. The root cause might be targeting drift. It's common in high pressure sales orgs. Reps veer off ICP, either because they're under pressure or managers don't have a feedback loop. Win rates drop, sales cycles stretch, churn creeps in. But you can catch it early. Learn more about targeting drift at AccountAim. https://lnkd.in/gbWXRhge

Cold calling just got a data upgrade that changes the math. Cognism's 2025 data: verified contacts hit 13.3% answer rates. Warm AE calls? 14.4%. The gap collapsed. Not because reps got better at scripts. Because intent signals and verified data turned cold dials into warm opportunities. This isn't incremental. It breaks the "cold = low yield" assumption that shaped every outbound playbook for the last decade. If your call strategy still treats every prospect as equally cold, you're leaving pipeline on the table. The new constraint isn't willingness to dial. It's access to the right signals before you pick up the phone.
