As much as we loved our iconic rectangular bottle, and we did, the bartenders told us the truth: too heavy, too hard to pour, not built for a busy well. So coming back to market, we built a bottle that works behind the bar and still looks like it belongs on the back shelf. Same prestige. Same heritage. Easier in the hand.

For more than two decades, Dr. Caver served GCRTA and the Greater Cleveland community with extraordinary leadership, dedication and care. His impact on our organization, our employees, our customers and the public transportation industry is immeasurable. Our hearts are with his wife, children, family, friends and all who knew and loved him during this incredibly difficult time. The honor to work alongside Dr. Caver was ours. He will be missed.

Carolyn (Carrie) Lescher, MBA, WSET, CSW liked thisCarolyn (Carrie) Lescher, MBA, WSET, CSW liked thisMarketing managers are not designers. Let's say it again for the people writing job descriptions: Marketing managers are not designers. Don't get me wrong. I love Canva, have a good eye for design, and even studied Graphic Design and Media. Does that make me a designer? No. I keep seeing marketing roles that ask for expertise in: • Website design • Photoshop • InDesign • Illustrator Yes, marketers should understand design. We should be able to brief designers effectively and create the occasional asset when needed. But great marketing and great design are both professions in their own right. It's time we stopped pretending one person can do everything.

Carolyn (Carrie) Lescher, MBA, WSET, CSW reacted on thisCarolyn (Carrie) Lescher, MBA, WSET, CSW reacted on thisI think we're going to see a major course correction over the next 6 to 12 months where brand leaders become genuinely hard to find and seriously in demand. I'm speaking to companies every day at the moment who've overhired on creative and underhired on brand. And what I think is going to happen is those creative teams start to shift. Companies are going to start asking whether they actually need all of those permanent roles, or whether some of that execution is better accessed flexibly while they invest more heavily in brand leadership. Now that doesn't mean creative roles are going away. Gary Vaynerchuk said something when we filmed together that I completely agree with, that the most undervalued person in a marketing organization is a really brilliant creative director. And he's absolutely right. Those roles are still absolutely needed and always will be. But there's a difference between a great creative director and overstaffing on designers and copywriters when the work doesn't always justify it. If you've built out a large execution team, the question worth asking right now is whether that's the right balance, or whether some of that capacity is better accessed on demand while you invest more heavily in the brand leadership that gives all of it direction.

Every decorative detail non-negotiable. So Account Manager Jackie Carmichael ran it through round after round — flower type, color, placement — until the creative matched the brand exactly. What started as a display concept grew into a full Mother's Day program. 324 custom displays. 11,000 bottle neckers. On time, on brand. Speed without shortcuts. That's what execution looks like. #RetailMarketing #RetailDesign #DisplayDesign #ShopperMarketing

Carolyn (Carrie) Lescher, MBA, WSET, CSW reacted on thisIf you had told me a few years ago that I’d be the brand manager for a Pumpkin Spice Chardonnay, I probably would have thought you were crazy. And yet, here we are, releasing it for the third year in a row. 🎃🍷 This one definitely pushed me outside my traditional view of what wine should be, but that’s also what I’ve come to love about it. Wine doesn’t always have to be so serious. Sometimes it can just be fun, unexpected and make people smile. I now genuinely look forward to bringing this wine back every year, and I’m so grateful to work with the incredible team at Scheid Family Wines, especially our winemaking team who brought this wonderfully unconventional idea to life. Grab a bottle while supplies last and happy unofficial start to fall! 🍂 #PumpkinSpice #Chardonnay #WineInnovation #WineIndustry #FallWine #Brandmarketing #MarketingCarolyn (Carrie) Lescher, MBA, WSET, CSW reacted on this🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨 Our Pumpkin Spice Chardonnay is back. 🎃🍷 And just to remind everyone of its impressive credentials: • 90+ point scores: Zero • Gold medals: None • Sommelier endorsements: Not that we’re aware of • Raised eyebrows from wine connoisseurs: Many • People who tried it and said, "Wait...this is actually really good": More than you’d think It's not traditional. It's not trying to be. It's a little absurd, unapologetically pumpkin spice, and surprisingly delicious. (Not every wine needs a tasting note that references wet river stones, cigar boxes, and the emotional complexity of a rainy Tuesday...) Because sometimes wine doesn't need to be serious. Some wines are just here to have a good time and get the conversation flowing. Go ahead. Judge us. We'll be over here sipping our Pumpkin Spice Chardonnay with hints of nutmeg, cinnamon, and buttery pie crust. 🎃 Link to the full press release: https://lnkd.in/grDBYe6U

Carolyn (Carrie) Lescher, MBA, WSET, CSW reacted on thisThis is exactly the kind of brand building that excites me as a marketer. Too often, brands focus on where consumption happens. The bigger opportunity is to own why and when it happens. For Whitehaven, "Own the Water" is a strategic effort to create relevance around daytime social occasions, outdoor adventures, waterfront moments, and those intentional escapes that consumers increasingly seek. The brand has long been anchored in exploration and life on the water, making it a natural fit for these occasions. What makes this activation so powerful is its authenticity. A yacht sailing past Navy Pier is not just a media moment. It's a reflection of Whitehaven's founding story and an example of how great brands connect heritage with modern consumer behavior. The brand was literally born from a sailing adventure, and today that spirit continues to come to life for consumers. Proud of the partnership between Whitehaven Wine Company and the GALLO team that brought this vision to life. The best occasion-based marketing doesn't create stories, it amplifies the ones that have been there from the beginning. #BrandBuilding #Marketing #ConsumerOccasions #Whitehaven #SauvignonBlanc #WineMarketingCarolyn (Carrie) Lescher, MBA, WSET, CSW reacted on thisA full-circle moment for Whitehaven. ⛵ A Whitehaven Sauvignon Blanc-branded yacht recently sailed past Chicago's iconic Navy Pier, bringing our story to life in one of the world's most important wine markets. The promotion was developed by our long-standing US distribution partner, E. & J. Gallo Winery, as Whitehaven continues to build momentum across the United States. What makes this activation especially meaningful is its connection to our roots. More than 30 years ago, founders Sue and Greg White arrived in Marlborough by yacht during a Pacific sailing adventure. Inspired by the region, they went on to establish Whitehaven in 1994. As Sue reflects: "When Greg and I arrived in Marlborough by yacht more than 30 years ago, we could never have imagined Whitehaven would one day have this sort of presence in the United States. Seeing a Whitehaven yacht sailing on Lake Michigan brings that story full circle." #WhitehavenWine #MarlboroughWine #SauvignonBlanc #NewZealandWine #Chicago

Being honored in this way says a lot about how we build. It also says something about how we show up for customers. Over the past year, teams across Generac focused on making our products and experiences simpler to understand, easier to use and more connected to what people are navigating as energy becomes more complex. When manufacturing, product and marketing move in sync, we can communicate more clearly and deliver solutions customers trust when it matters most. Thanks to the Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year program for highlighting the work behind strengthening both our products and the experience that surrounds them.
