I only print things like once a week on Friday night and every time it has five false starts, takes forever and I keep my sanity by dreaming about creative ways to destroy it. Epson XP-6100 is the current model but I’d love something that looks like it was built in Soviet Russia and will be reliably working long after my grandchildren graduate.

The described tissue-processing containers comprise a cup-like cavity comprising a middle hole covered by a mesh screen, troughs for separate processing steps, and are stackable in a substantially airtight and substantially watertight manner. Tissues for processing using the described tissue-processing containers include nerve tissue. Also described herein is a transport housing for the transport of stacks of tissue-processing containers, and which may directly incubate those containers, or which may be placed inside a separate incubator for incubating the containers.

This week, LambdaVision announced it has booked pre-commercial payload capacity on Starlab, Voyager Technologies’ next-generation space station, securing its path to scale manufacturing in low-Earth orbit as the ISS approaches retirement in 2030. At 776, we back founders who see constraints as design inputs, not barriers. CEO Nicole Wagner, Ph.D. and her team are building at the intersection of biotech, space, and advanced manufacturing with extraordinary discipline and long-term vision. They’re going because microgravity materially improves their manufacturing process. Their artificial retina is built from 200 ultra-thin protein layers assembled through a layer-by-layer deposition process. On Earth, gravity introduces sedimentation and convection currents that can impact homogeneity and performance. In microgravity, those forces are minimized — enabling more uniform, stable thin films that are critical to the implant’s function. The result is a small, flexible artificial retina designed to restore meaningful vision for patients with advanced retinal degenerative diseases like retinitis pigmentosa, with plans to expand into AMD.
