Diana Saleh, MBA shared thisEarlier this year, I started my Masters in Public Policy at my alma mater Southern Methodist University; a place that's always felt like home. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love SMU so coming back to pursue another passion of mine made a lot of sense. Balancing this first semester alongside a demanding full-time role was no small feat but it was absolutely worth it. I had the opportunity to learn alongside an incredible group of classmates, each bringing unique perspectives that made the experience even more meaningful. These photos are from our recent immersion, where we heard from experts across a range of critical topics from housing to immigration. A special thank you to our speakers for sharing their insights and expertise. This semester, I also had the chance to build on my background in healthcare by diving deeper into health policy. My work focused on improving outcomes for patients with chronic disease states by exploring policy solutions around nutrition-sensitive interventions in Texas. And a huge thank you to Dr. Eva Chiang for being such an incredible professor and advisor. Your guidance made this experience truly impactful. Grateful for the journey so far and excited for what’s ahead!
