Now, Fort Wayne is officially live with the #FederalEHR. This is a milestone they should be incredibly proud of. This accomplishment reflects months of coordination, training, and cross‑team collaboration. Their focus on readiness, their thoughtful questions, and their unwavering commitment to our #Veterans made a lasting impression. It also supports the broader goal of providing #Veterans with a modern, seamless, lifetime health record—improving coordination, safety, and the care experience across VA.

Elaine Turville reposted thisElaine Turville reposted thisThis weekend marked a first for me in my career (yes, that can still happen in my advanced age)… I have been a part of a lot of go lives over the years, and as a result, sat in a lot of Command Centers (#IYKYK). But this time was different. Outside of these doors were the people that would directly and immediately benefit from the very system being implemented - doctors, nurses, specialists, support staff and most importantly, our #Veterans. This weekend, the Federal Electronic Health Record (EHR) was deployed in the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis and the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System in Fort Wayne and Marion. I had the privilege of seeing the go live up-close and personal from the Fort Wayne VA Medical Center (and spending extended time in the charming Fort Wayne community - Go TinCaps). The #FederalEHR mission is simple yet cannot be said enough: provide a single, common health record platform to enhance patient care and provider effectiveness, wherever and whenever care is provided. I would like to congratulate everyone that made this go live possible - U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Oracle Health, Accenture Federal Services, and the countless other folks directly or indirectly supporting this critical mission. Representing Accenture Federal Services on the ground and getting the opportunity to support the EHRM modernization alongside such dedicated teams is a true privilege. Seeing these facilities up close is an outstanding reflection of how they continue to prioritize world-class Veteran care while leaning all-in on a complex EHRM modernization. It is incredibly refreshing to see how each site takes the process and truly "makes it their own." They are proactively building bridges with other sites that have already gone live and are confidently "Guiding the Future of Care" with their unique approach. I kicked things off in July at the Q-Center, where I had the opportunity to learn alongside new joiners from across Accenture Federal Services and Accenture LLP. I’ve now joined my team and am excited to put what I’ve learned into practice. It’s been a great start to this new chapter, and I’m looking forward to continuing to grow my technical skills, learning from the people around me, and gaining new experiences along the way. I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity and excited to see where this next chapter takes me!

Elaine Turville liked thisElaine Turville liked thisI had an engaging discussion with the Service Chiefs at St. Cloud VA Medical Center in Minnesota about their clinical operations and medicine. The site’s inpatient programs require precise planning and coordination to maintain safe patient flow throughout the #FederalEHR transition. The Service Chiefs recognize this and are taking the steps necessary to prepare. The Service Chiefs’ insights into workflow consistency, training alignment, and interdisciplinary care were invaluable. We all agree there is more work to be done in terms of demonstrating how work is actually performed within the EHR. Their leadership and commitment to operational excellence will go a long way toward ensuring a successful deployment on May 15, 2027.
