A pattern surfaced — the same three pressure points across health systems of very different sizes. AI adoption is outpacing clinical readiness. Governance instincts that serve healthcare well in other contexts can quietly kill a pilot before it proves its value. Legacy infrastructure debt sets the ceiling on everything else they're trying to do. The leaders excelling were doing the same thing. They translated technology risk into the language of clinical operations and capital allocation. That earned them a seat at the table. Emmy Galet shared thisAs many of my customers, partners, coworkers, and friends know— my husband and I welcomed our baby girl, Ellie, on 12/3 of last year. I have spent the last 3.5 months embracing my new title of “Mom” and trying to soak up every cuddle, smile, giggle, and leap from Miss Ellie. I always thought my sales job was hard, but WOW, motherhood has humbled me quite a bit (in the best way possible)! I very much appreciate everyone who has reached out during this time and given me time off to spend with my lil lady. These 3 months of leave have allowed me to truly step away from my business without stress, and I have my team to thank for that. A BIG shoutout to the people who kept things afloat & went over and above for my customers while I was out. Rosemary Pron , Michael Belfanti , Cortney Ventrone you all are AMAZING teammates and humans, I cannot thank you guys enough! I’m back in the saddle tomorrow (3/11). We flew home to Chicago yesterday after leaving our oldest, Maeve, at High Point University in North Carolina. I expected to miss her. I did not expect it to hit quite that fast. 😂 What I also did not expect was how much comfort I would get from experiencing the culture at High Point firsthand. The campus is beautiful, and the opportunities are impressive, but hearing President Nido R. Qubein at Convocation speak about character, accountability, integrity, gratitude, and real-life skills stood out most to me. Culture matters. Expectations matter. And as a parent, knowing your child is entering an environment that takes both seriously makes the handoff a little easier. Maeve, we could not be prouder. Embrace the experience, meet great people, push yourself, and take advantage of every opportunity in front of you. The world is yours.
