I think the electricity analogy is useful, and not only because it makes AI sound abundant. It is useful because electricity is a commodity. The value does not come from owning electricity. It comes from wiring it into a factory, a hospital, a train network, a home - and the same is starting to happen with AI. Using Opus 4.7 or GPT-5.5 in a blank chat window is better than using Sonnet 3.7 or GPT-4 a year or two ago, but it is not a different operating model by itself. Put that same intelligence inside the right harness and the work changes. - Memory. - Tools. - Permissions. - Workflows. - Review loops. - Context from the organisation. - Recovery when something goes wrong. That is why Cowork, OpenClaw, Hermes, Claude Code, OpenAI AgentKit, Cursor, Replit Agent and Rebel matter. We call them harnesses, but that word probably undersells the shift. They are becoming agentic operating systems. The question is no longer just: “Which model are you using?”, but “What environment have you built around the intelligence?” Because if intelligence becomes abundant, the advantage does not come from having it. It comes from knowing how to use it. #PracticalAI #FutureOfWork #AITransformation
