Jessica Casey liked thisJessica Casey liked thisOn September the 5th, I will have been in executive search for 31 years. The job has changed enormously, but the importance of brilliant industry friends has not. I learnt early on to surround myself with people who would elevate my knowledge and challenge my thinking. In that vein, I am hugely grateful to have been introduced to Emilio Domingo over 15 years ago. Over the years, we have had many conversations about our shared world of Private Equity advisory. It was one such discussion that led to our latest research, How PE Investors Select and Reassess Leaders from Entry to Exit. Our work combines Bain & Company’s full potential due diligence framework with a leadership underwriting model to assess whether a CEO has what it takes to deliver the value creation plan. I’m delighted to share the full article here: https://lnkd.in/gM-amhvX #PrivateEquity #CEO #ValueCreation

Jessica Casey liked thisJessica Casey liked thisIt’s hard to believe 14 years ago I joined Russell Reynolds Associates as a summer intern, admittedly knowing very little about executive search and with no real expectation beyond finding a place to begin my career. I never could have imagined where that internship would lead. Today, I’m grateful to share that I’ve been promoted to Managing Director at Russell Reynolds Associates. This milestone belongs to so many people. I'm deeply thankful to the mentors and colleagues who invested in me, challenged my thinking, and trusted me with opportunities well before I had earned them. Their generosity has shaped not only my career, but the kind of partner I strive to be every day. I am equally grateful to the clients who have trusted me with some of their most important leadership decisions, particularly at a time when leading technology and AI organizations has never been more dynamic or complex, and to the candidates who have shared their experiences, ambitions, and career aspirations with me. Being invited into those conversations is a privilege that I sincerely value and never take for granted. Fourteen years after walking through the door as an intern, I'm still learning every day, still energized by this work, and grateful that the best part of this profession has always been the people. I'm excited for what comes next.

Brooklyn CRE stayed resilient in 2025, logging $6.6B in deal volume across nearly 1,200 transactions, despite fewer mega-deals. As reported by Crain's New York and detailed in the TerraCRG Brooklyn Market Report, activity tracked long-term averages, with development sites and special-use assets gaining momentum. TerraCRG CEO Dan Marks notes how the absence of $500M+ deals can meaningfully impact annual dollar volume. Thank you to Eddie Small and Crain's New York Business for covering the report and the evolving Brooklyn market. Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/eV5DyFmQ

Office-to-residential conversions are having a moment in NYC and as a planning strategy, they make a lot of sense on paper. The City of Yes reforms expanded conversion eligibility to buildings built before 1991, with a projected yield of 20,000 new units and it’s an incredibly ambitious one that could create meaningful impact for thousands of New Yorkers. But here’s what I want to see planners and advocates push for: deep affordability requirements baked into every conversion deal. it. 24/7 neighborhoods are a worthy goal. But a truly livable neighborhood isn’t just about foot traffic; it’s about whether the people who work there can also afford to live there. #UrbanPlanning #NYC #HousingPolicy #OfficeConversion #AffordableHousing #CityOfYes #HousingJustice #Placemaking
