Not showing interest in other activities 4. Preoccupied and not listening while using devices 5. Talking about online activities when they are not using devices You must try and do this: 1. Set limits: Establish clear boundaries on screen time and technology use. Determine specific time limits for activities like gaming, browsing, and social media. 2. Be a role model: Children often mimic the behavior of their parents or guardians. Make sure you demonstrate healthy technology habits yourself. 3. Encourage a balanced lifestyle: Encourage your children to engage in a variety of activities, both indoors and outdoors, such as sports, hobbies, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Help them find a balance between technology and other interests. 4. Provide alternatives: Create an environment where children have access to non-digital entertainment options such as books, puzzles, board games, arts and crafts, and outdoor activities. Encourage their curiosity and provide opportunities for learning through different means. 5. Teach your children about responsible and mindful technology use: Discuss the potential risks and benefits of technology and help them develop critical thinking skills to make informed decisions.
