I got to chatting with one of our attendees about their benefits program, point solutions, navigation of it all... She mentioned they offer fertility coverage. Then she shared something I can’t stop thinking about: 91 babies. Their program has helped 91 families bring home a baby! I’ll be honest…I got a little misty-eyed. It’s National Infertility Awareness Week, and that number hit differently. Because behind every “benefit offering” conversation… there are real people and moments that change everything. My two cents: ➡️ Not in your budget? Don’t write it off. Consider voluntary benefits that include family support benefits. ➡️ Integrating your EAP vendor into the fertility journey can provide critical support when it’s needed most – your vendor ecosystem should feel connected, not fragmented, during moments like this. And when each paycheck comes, you do three things: save some, spend some, give some. The goal was to teach my kids about responsibility and help them understand that money has different purposes. I wanted them to learn how to make choices, understand trade-offs and appreciate that money can support both personal goals and others around you.
