It’s no longer enough to have best-in-class components; true breakthroughs come from deep, system-level co-design. Our deep partnership with Gemini DeepMind means we are able to co-optimize the model and hardware with foresight for emerging computation and data movement requirements. This week, we mark a significant advance in this architectural journey with the General Availability of Ironwood TPUs, our seventh-generation custom silicon. Ironwood is purpose-built for the most demanding computational challenges—from large-scale model training and complex reinforcement learning (RL) to high-volume, low-latency AI inference and model serving. The impact of this integrated design makes Ironwood our most powerful and energy-efficient custom silicon to date: - A 10X peak performance improvement over TPU v5p. - More than 4X better performance per chip for both training and inference workloads compared to our Trillium TPU (v6e) introduced just a year ago. This is the power of first-principles engineering. It is the same vertical integration methodology that enabled the invention of the first TPU a decade ago, which in turn enabled the Transformer architecture eight years ago. We are scaling this principle today, linking up to 9,216 Ironwood chips in a superpod with 9.6 Tb/s Inter-Chip Interconnect (ICI) networking and 192 GB HBM per chip. This is all backed with a co-designed software stack to ensure maximum fleet efficiency and resilience. As the gap between AI deployment velocity and governance readiness kept widening, we knew we had to move fast. In July, we launched Draco, bringing full visibility and control of the cloud AI ecosystem to enterprises. This month, we launched Aquila, giving teams the ability to review every code commit, prompt, and upload to on-device AI, and stopping risky ones before they leave the device. For a company just over a year old, launching two enterprise-grade products in two months is no easy feat. I’m incredibly proud of how far we’ve come as a company. And we’re not done yet. Moazzam Chaudry liked thisMoazzam Chaudry liked thisGoogle has officially landed in Pakistan. 🇵🇰 From the first day I pitched the vision to our leadership team—to establish Google’s on-ground presence in Pakistan and significantly increase our investments in the country—to seeing our doors officially open, the journey has been long, demanding, and incredibly rewarding. That journey culminated last week with the official opening of Google’s new office in Pakistan: a transformative milestone for the country’s digital economy, and a deeply emotional moment for me as both a Pakistani and a Googler. Maybe one day I’ll tell the full behind-the-scenes story. During our visit across Pakistan with Wilson White, we had the distinct honor of having the Honourable Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, inaugurate the Google office. Beyond opening our doors, we anchored a long-term commitment: Google is here to stay, to grow alongside the country, and to play an active role in unlocking Pakistan’s immense economic potential in close partnership with local industry and the government. Opening an office and scaling investment requires real results, scale, and strong revenue growth. Pakistan made that case undeniable. And that success was built and contributed by the incredible partners and communities on the ground: - Our Business & Ecosystem Partners: Thank you for putting Pakistan on the global map. A huge shoutout to our Gaming & Apps ecosystem, which built the strongest foundation for our market presence. Moazzam Chaudry liked thisMoazzam Chaudry liked thisAnother successful Fremont Children’s Business Fair is officially in the books! 🎉 For the past three years, my mom, Najwa Javed, DPM MPH, and I have had the opportunity to give 40 young entrepreneurs, ages 6 to 16, a platform to turn their ideas into real businesses and sell their products to the community. This year was our biggest and most successful yet, with more than 400 attendees coming out to support the next generation of entrepreneurs! A huge thank you to Teresa Cox for delivering such a motivating speech, and to Ausaf Masud, Fahad Rizqi, Ashar Rizqi, and Renee Rashid for taking the time to serve as our judges. Events like the Fremont Children’s Business Fair are special because they give young people the opportunity to build confidence, communicate their ideas, solve problems, and experience what it means to create something of their own. These are skills they can carry with them as they grow into the leaders, innovators, and changemakers of tomorrow. I’m incredibly proud of every young entrepreneur who participated and grateful to everyone who came out to support them. Three years down. Excited to see what’s next. 🚀

I've gotten this question often since taking a step out to pursue some long-due initiatives in #MENAP region. It's hard to know where to start, but these are 3 to begin with: ---------------------- 1️⃣ #Goodculture doesn't happen by chance, it's intentionally designed // One of the things that intrigued me the most in the beginning was Peer Bonuses, whereby every single #Googler - regardless of tenure/seniority - is given 5 bonuses every quarter to award to any other colleague. You'd just need a clear written justification of how that person went above and beyond their call of duty to drive something collaboratively, and your teams/division would be cc-ed in on these cross-functional anecdotes. Kindness reinforces more #kindness. Good behaviors are a self-filter for bad ones. Showing up consistently for your team can't be faked. (There are many coupon award platforms to try this out!) ---------------------- 2️⃣ Work-life #integration, not just work life balance ⚖️ // Balance implies something has to give way to another. Integration suggests both can co-exist. Whenever friends saw our huge in-house office gym, the usual (candid) comment was: "Is this the company's way of making you all stay back to work harder?" Here's the catch - fitness/dance 💃 classes run throughout the day, and they all end by 5pm. You could disappear to the dance studio or makerspace in the middle of the day (with your colleagues in tow) and no one would question it - you might even see your manager there! 🏡 #Google also has an #openhouse concept to bring in 2 social guests a month - I loved getting to meet many of my colleagues kids and relatives randomly showing up at the cafeteria. It's genuinely awesome when life doesn't need to wait until the weekends or post-6pm to "happen". ---------------------- 3️⃣ The sky's the limit (literally), when you're #alwayslearning Put hundreds of driven, passionate humans in a dense environment, and you get a pretty wild mix: my colleagues were also solo paragliders 🪂, divemasters, yoga instructors, music DJs, live band performers 🎤 and more. They showed me that there are many other skills in life beyond the office worth perfecting. Your job doesn't need to be the only thing you're pursuing. It helps that Google also subsidizes 30% of any instructor-led course (up to S$1K annually), which doesn't need to be related to work. Many folks took 3rd language classes - a teammate even became a certified #arttherapist 🎨! I personally enjoyed getting to pick up diving 🤿, finish my motorbike 🏍️ license and learn #signlanguage 🤙 As an ode to this, now in my own little growing team we give our interns an extra S$50/mth to subscribe to anything that will help them grow (AI tool, online news outlet etc) ---------------------- The list can go on, but these are 3 faves any team can consider experimenting with, & keep that #noMondayblues vibe 🟦

After an incredible chapter at Google Cloud, I’ve spent time reconnecting with former colleagues and friends, working closely with founders and investors, and exploring the rapidly evolving AI landscape across infrastructure, data, security, developer platforms, and enterprise applications. A heartfelt thank you to the exceptional teams across Israel, Poland, and the US, and to the many leaders, mentors, and colleagues who shaped my journey. One thing has become increasingly clear: the boundaries between infrastructure, data, and security are rapidly disappearing. Agentic AI will fundamentally change how enterprises build, secure, operate, and optimize these platforms—connecting insights directly to action in ways that were previously unimaginable. That’s where I’ll be focused next. More to come.
