Mohan Venkataraman shared thisData is the most critical asset driving modern technology and business processes. Without high-quality data that has been thoroughly vetted and verified, there is simply no solid foundation to build upon. Of late, many supply chain and procurement posts have emphasized data quality, data foundations, supplier ratings, and governance. A good data foundation is what enables platforms to deliver better ratings and decisions, while proper governance impacts everything from processes and data to services and enterprise assets. I have encountered this many times and now, while building an end-to-end #RCM #medical-#claims processing system, where upstream data completeness and quality were directly impacting processing efficiency. Claims were failing for simple reasons like mangled names, internal system codes, and field truncations. #Human–AI #copair played a key role in analyzing issues, improving data quality, and filling missing information. Through an iterative process, humans and AI collaborated to uncover patterns and develop the supporting logic and code. AI assistants also helped plan the implementation steps and guide testing of the process and rules. At run time, #AI-agents make attempts to sanitize malformed payer data before it reached the service, ensuring cleaner inputs and more reliable outcomes. In short, AI assistants and agents proved invaluable across planning, design, and operational execution. #blockchain #hedera Hedera IBM #aiml IoT Community - Internet of Things Community® Deloitte Digital Supplier.io Stephany Lapierre ProcureTech, now part of ORO Labs Procurement Doctors BHTY Colorado Chapter BHTY NorthEast Partners In Digital Health #agenticai #aiagents #ethereum LF Decentralized Trust The Hackett Group Inc.Mohan Venkataraman shared thisMost procurement organizations have already completed a supplier data cleanup initiative. Some have even done it more than once. Yet duplicate records, inconsistent supplier information and poor data governance continue to create hidden costs across procurement and finance. The impact goes far beyond data quality. Bad supplier data can contribute to duplicate payments, missed savings opportunities, increased fraud risk and technology investments that fail to deliver expected value. Join The Hackett Group® and Supplier.io on August 27 at 12 p.m. ET for a research-backed discussion on why supplier data problems persist and what leading organizations are doing differently to build a sustainable foundation. Mohan Venkataraman shared thisI spent the past week deploying a production‑grade Solidity contract on #Hedera for a healthcare RCM platform I am building—. In this article, I break down the issues that stalled deployment, how Hedera’s model differs from Ethereum, and how I used three AI assistants (Gemini, Hedera Portal GPT, and Claude) as pair‑developers to debug bytecode, encoding, and SDK behavior. As a #consultant and hands‑on #architect, I believe real value comes from understanding systems at depth — and this experience reinforced how AI can amplify that process when used intelligently. I also see the future as a collaborative co-existence between #AI helpers and humans, whether developing IT solutions or running an enterprise. Mohan Venkataraman shared thisI’ve been following recent business events and conferences in the procurement space, some procurement‑focused M&A, and the broader impact of global disruptions on supply chains, energy prices, and even how consumers are rethinking EV adoption. About two years ago, while exploring how #AI, #machinelearning and blockchain could be used to predict #supply‑chain risk, my team and I ran a few early experiments. I had planned to write about it then, especially after someone from a major ratings organization asked how these technologies could meaningfully address supplier risk. My recent work has given me a much clearer view of how #LLMs and #blockchain can be applied to real problems, especially #Hashgraph which is public-permissioned, and with my current freelancing through Block10.ai, I finally decided to write that long‑overdue article. I’ll also be attending #Consensus2026 in Miami from May 4–7 and would be happy to connect with anyone who’ll be there. Mohan Venkataraman reacted on thisMohan Venkataraman reacted on thisAfter seven years, I’ve officially wrapped up my time at EY. When I joined EY, I don’t think I could have predicted where the journey would take me. I started in EY Advanced Technology Tax Labs, surrounded by people willing to experiment with emerging technology, challenge conventional thinking, and try new ways of solving difficult problems. Over the years, that journey took me from blockchain and emerging technology into data and AI, and from building solutions to leading teams. There were challenges, experiments that needed persistence, and plenty of lessons learned along the way. That was also what made the journey so rewarding. More than any project, technology, or title, though, I’ll remember the people. I’m incredibly grateful to the colleagues, teams, clients, mentors, and leaders who trusted me with opportunities, challenged me, and helped me grow. There are far too many people to name, but I’d be remiss not to especially thank Ken Priyadarshi, Mehrnaz Neyzari, and John Robotham for their mentorship, trust, support, and advocacy through different chapters of my career with EY. Each of you helped shape the professional I am today. And to Jeffrey Saviano, who took a chance on me and gave me the opportunity to join EY in the first place, thank you. That one decision opened a seven-year chapter that shaped so much of my career. To everyone I’ve had the opportunity to work with along the way, thank you for the collaboration, conversations, laughs, friendships, and memories. I’m leaving with a lot of gratitude, great friendships, and plenty of memories. And yes, I still have my original #30 Advanced Technology Tax Lab jersey from where it all started. 😊 Thank you, EY. It’s been quite a ride 💛 #EY #ThankYou

Mohan Venkataraman liked thisMohan Venkataraman liked thisAt StarChain Ventures, Jorden and I invest in and back founders building Safe, Trustworthy AI – this has been our position from the beginning. We consider Safe & Trustworthy AI to be one that has clear benefits for humanity and business, protects privacy and confidentiality, and is well-governed & secure. There has been a clear shift by industry leaders towards prioritizing Safe AI following the serious security incident last week where OpenAI’s latest unreleased model broke containment and hacked Hugging Face. We applaud that shift. Two days ago, Sam Altman said, regarding the event, it was an “extremely sci-fi cyber incident…[t]his is the first security incident that I have felt very viscerally.” This was followed by two separate, high-profile announcements: First the leaders of the highest profile frontier models including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta , Google DeepMind, Thinking Machines Lab (plus 1200+ more signatories at these labs) signed on to a petition to the US government to decelerate the pace of AI development to accommodate better governance and safety capabilities. The petitioners signed on to the following request: “We request that the U.S. government support an international effort to develop the technical and governance tools needed to deliberately pace the frontier of automated AI development.” At the same time, the Open Secure AI Alliance for AI Safety and Security was announced by the Enterprise AI community led by NVIDIA and supported by 50 industry stalwarts including Cisco Salesforce IBM SpaceX Uber SAP ServiceNow Hewlett Packard Enterprise Databricks Hugging Face and many more. The alliance backs the need for both proprietary (closed source) & open source/ open weight models to enable a safer world, noting that Hugging Face needed to use an Open-Source/Open-Weight model (Z.ai’s GLM 5.2 model) to contain the OpenAI attack and intrusion. Specifically the alliance declared (NVIDIA press release): “Companies and countries need open frontier defensive tools and techniques so critical industries can build security systems across a multi-vendor ecosystem and avoid single points of failure.” We are huge proponents of open-source software and open-weight models – they are the centerpiece of the advanced AI courses we have been teaching for the last 3 years. Eliminating single points of failure is also the mantra of the blockchain community. For these reasons we also applaud this new alliance. Together these are the reasons we invested in 0G labs (highlighted in our last post) as they are focused on building the trust and safety layer for AI at scale. If you are a developer building Safe, well-governed AI for the enterprise or an LP interested in building a world based on Safe, Beneficial AI, contact us. cc: Jorden Woods StarChain Ventures #SafeAI #TrustworthyAI #EnterpriseAI

Mohan Venkataraman liked thisMohan Venkataraman liked thisConV2X Cambridge 2026 is getting noticed. Business News & Info recently spotlighted ConV2X and captured something fundamental about why this summit matters: decentralized health is moving from theoretical concepts to practical, real-world deployment. The article highlights many of the challenges at the center of our September program: • Data interoperability and trusted health data • AI-enabled healthcare systems • Cybersecurity, privacy and resilient infrastructure • Regulatory modernization • Decentralized clinical research and real-world evidence • Patient-controlled data ecosystems • Moving innovation from research into enterprise deployment It also calls attention to one of the defining features of ConV2X: all sessions operate under Chatham House Rule, creating an environment where leaders can speak candidly about challenges, failures, implementation realities and what it actually takes to scale. That is exactly the conversation we are building in Cambridge. Mohan Venkataraman reacted on thisMohan Venkataraman reacted on thisLast week, I had the privilege of joining my fellow Board members and staff from the North Carolina Board of Engineers and Surveyors (NCBELS) at the annual NCEES Convention in Henderson, Nevada. With delegates representing 66 jurisdictions and nearly 500 attendees, the four-day convention provided an excellent opportunity to collaborate with engineering and surveying licensing leaders from across the country and other territories. Several outcomes are particularly important to North Carolina licensees: · FE Exam Waiver for PhD Engineers: The NCEES Council voted to add an FE exam waiver for individuals holding a PhD in Engineering from an institution where the underlying BS engineering degree is ABET-accredited. · Exam Fee Oversight: All NCEES exam fees will now be subject to a two-year review cycle. Fee increases cannot take effect unless authorized through a vote of the NCEES Council at its annual convention. · Modernizing Professional Seals and Signatures: The incoming NCEES President has authorized a task force to review and recommend ways to modernize licensee seals and signatures, with a focus on strengthening security and mitigating fraudulent use. The issue of fraudulent use of professional seals and signatures is especially timely. North Carolina, like many other states, has seen an increase in these cases. NCBELS and other licensing boards are working diligently to identify effective solutions and protect the integrity of the professions we regulate. This is not an issue unique to engineering and surveying—we are seeing similar challenges across many professions. Strengthening the security of professional credentials while maintaining public confidence in licensed professionals will require continued collaboration, innovation, and vigilance. I am grateful for the opportunity to represent North Carolina and to work alongside colleagues from across the nation on issues that directly impact our licensees and the public we serve. #NCEES #NCBELS #Engineering #Surveying #ProfessionalLicensure #ABET #PublicProtection

Is Dental Industry Shrinking? Recent Halloween article on decline in cavities and costs by CNBC prompted a deep research opportunity for sikka.ai https://lnkd.in/gTssMVVq Current dynamic reflects a profound structural and economic shift where low-margin, high-volume transactions are being strategically replaced by high-value, specialized procedural volume. Raw utilization data derived from thousands of dental practices consistently shows positive growth. Sikka Insights industry trends data, which aggregates de-identified information on procedure volume, indicates year-over-year increases across major service categories. For example, recent analyses confirm positive percentage change trends in Orthodontics (+4%), Restorative (+3%), Diagnostic (+3%), and Prosthodontics (+2%) volume compared to the same period in the prior year.12 This sustained growth is further supported by macro-level forecasts, which project the U.S. dental services market to achieve robust annual growth rates, ranging from a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 4.5% to as high as 12.1% through 2032. According to DeltaDentalinstitute.com, a key finding that explains the paradox of rising revenue amid concerns of shrinking volume is the shift in restorative care patterns. Data indicates an inverse correlation between simple and complex procedures among adults aged 19–64: Direct restorations (simple fillings) volume declined, while Indirect restorations (crowns, bridges, and other complex, high-cost procedures) volume increased significantly. This trend represents quantitative evidence of accumulated deferred care. Patients postponed simple, low-cost fillings (a low-value essential procedure) until the decay progressed to a point requiring a much more expensive, high-acuity intervention, such as a full crown or even an implant. This transformation of pathology from manageable to complex results in a higher average revenue per procedure, creating an artificial inflation of "high-value" volume. The cost structure of elective dentistry acts as a primary gatekeeper for volume growth. As cosmetic services frequently fall outside the scope of standard dental insurance, patients are required to cover the full expense out-of-pocket. Given the documented increase in the overall cost of dental care, this out-of-pocket burden represents a significant barrier, especially for simple aesthetic procedures that may be viewed as non-essential. The volume shrinkage observed in this category is a direct function of cost sensitivity. All practice, revenue and procedure indicators are flat. “More dentists are skeptical than are confident in the overall U.S. economy,” said Marko Vujicic Ph.D., ADA chief economist and vice president of HPI. sikka.ai empirical data from thousands of practices is agreeing with this but there are certain growth areas. Digital oncology is entering a moment where EMR and telemedicine integration are becoming essential for delivering faster, safer, and more patient-centric cancer care. My recent article published in BW Wellbeing World captures this transition in detail. Integrating EMRs with telemedicine is becoming the foundation of cancer care that feels more connected, more responsive, and more humane. When EMR systems and telehealth platforms work in sync, the impact is immediate and tangible: Doctors make faster, more confident decisions because every detail, scan, report, and history is available in seconds, even during virtual consultations. Care continues between appointments, with remote monitoring capturing pain, fatigue, or changes early enough for nurses to intervene before symptoms worsen. Travel becomes lighter and less frequent, especially for those in rural or underserved areas who often face the heaviest burden in accessing care. Patients feel more in control, using simple digital tools that remind them, guide them, and support them through their treatment journey. Clinical outcomes improve, not because of bigger hospitals, but because care becomes more proactive and personal. At the same time, this reminds us that a digital-first future demands a prepared healthcare workforce and stronger long-term strategies. And above all, it calls for recognising the pivotal role oncology nurses play in making these technologies truly meaningful for patients. As cancer cases continue to rise, the future of oncology will belong to systems that understand the patient not just as a diagnosis, but as a human being navigating one of the hardest chapters of their life. This is where healthcare needs to move, and it needs to happen now. #digitaloncology #healthtech #telemedicine #emrintegration #oncologycare #patientcentriccare

"Given the role that technology infrastructure plays in supporting clinical care delivery tools, from EHR systems to networked medical devices, wearables and sensors, cybersecurity is no longer just an IT issue. It is a critical component of clinical safety, operational continuity, financial stability and organizational trust." https://lnkd.in/ePc_d_nK
