Soni Mehra shared thisWhen I started building Marble Lotus, the idea was simple: create a space where people could find themselves at home. Not through trends, but through pieces that feel rooted. Familiar in a way you can’t always explain, but you recognize instantly. Over time, that has meant being very thoughtful about what we bring into the Marble Lotus platform...which is why this partnership means so much! I’m so excited to bring Sabyasachi wallpapers to Marble Lotus in partnership with our network of India-Based distributors. Sabyasachi Mukherjee has always stood for a certain way of seeing design. One that draws from culture, memory, and identity, and turns it into something you can live with. To be able to bring that into Marble Lotus feels incredibly aligned with what we’ve been building. It’s a big moment for us! Check out the collection here: https://lnkd.in/gEQpT8KX

Soni Mehra reposted thisSoni Mehra reposted thisFor the last several months, James Sha and I have been building something we believe will fundamentally change how investment professionals conduct primary research. Today we are announcing Checkmate: the AI-powered expert call platform. The best investors know that their most differentiated ideas come from primary research, directly from the source. They spend hundreds of hours a year on expert calls to get that edge. Hedge funds, PE firms, and consultants have already started adopting AI to conduct interviews. But today's solutions are essentially survey bots. They can't replicate the analyst-level depth needed for real diligence. Checkmate is the first AI that actually digs deep for information to uncover critical insights. This is possible with our deep thinking architecture, which analyzes a conversation in real time to come up with the best follow up questions. It's so effective, that many analysts believe the quality of our expert calls to be better than their own. We believe the future of primary research is large scale, rapid, qualitative research. Check out our launch video to see exactly how our AI pivots mid-interview to chase down high-value insights. Checkmate is live today, and we are currently onboarding new clients in waves. If you're looking to automate your due diligence, channel checks, or any kind of primary research, I'd love to personally show you what we've built! Send me a DM, or request access via the link in the comments. #PrimaryResearch #AlternativeData #DueDiligence #PrivateEquity #HedgeFunds

Soni Mehra shared thisThere are some projects that start as ideas and some that start as feelings. This one began with a feeling. During my travels through India- especially Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, I found myself constantly trying to pause moments. The way the light hit the palace walls, the layers of history in patterns, the quiet grandeur of spaces that have existed for centuries. I kept thinking: How do you live with this feeling long after the trip ends? That question eventually became our very first wallpaper collection. This process wasn’t just about design, it was about translating emotion into material. About turning travel into memory, and memory into something tactile that could exist in our everyday spaces. Every pattern is rooted in a moment I experienced for the first time, reimagined to live comfortably in modern homes. What I’m most proud of is that this collection doesn’t ask you to choose between story and usability. Whether your home is minimalist or maximalist, these designs are meant to adapt, not overpower. Launching our first in-house collection of wallpaper feels like a full-circle moment, one that reminds me why we started creating in the first place. Grateful, excited and deeply proud of what we’ve built. Go view our collection on our website https://lnkd.in/g2RcnYmY P.S. If you’re a wholesaler, stocking dealer or retail store owner - I’d love to send you our catalog! Just dm me or comment below!

Soni Mehra reposted thisSoni Mehra reposted thisThere's a lot of buzz around AI-powered interviews and market research voice agents right now. Most of them work like smart surveys. They ask a set of predetermined questions, limited depth follow-ups, and wrap up in 10-15 minutes. That's fine for many use cases (broad audience, large N), but it's not how expert calls work. When an analyst is doing primary research, they're hunting for something they don't know yet: an insight, a pattern, or some edge. The questions are open-ended and the conversation can go anywhere. Often times, the most valuable moment is the one you didn't plan for. One PE associate described a call where they went in asking about a cybersecurity vendor's product positioning. Halfway through, the expert, who was a former IT buyer, mentioned that many folks he knew were switching to another up and coming vendor. That vendor wasn't even on their radar, but that offhand comment reshuffled the entire thesis. In a well-run expert call, when a spark comes up, the analyst recognizes it and the whole conversation shifts. The successive follow-up questions matter more than the original script. Building AI that can actually listen, identify what's interesting, and narrow in on an idea is a different problem from building a survey agent. Most tools aren't even trying to solve this!

Soni Mehra shared thisI spent the first week of the New Year in India- a great break and a lovely way to start 2026. While I was there, we hosted an off-site with our India team and spent two very productive days in Delhi. Between shooting an exciting upcoming launch and planning the rest of the year ahead, it was time incredibly well spent. Feeling energized and inspired by the conversations, ideas and momentum we’re building. We can’t wait to show you what we have in store for the rest of 2026 ✨

Soni Mehra posted this2025, a year that truly transformed Marble Lotus. As I look back, 2025 feels like the year Marble Lotus found its rhythm, a year of design, decor and meaningful storytelling. A year where ideas turned into experiences and experiences turned into inspiration. Here are a 6 milestones that shaped our journey: 1. Our first Kala Yatra We hosted an experiential arts and interiors trip across India’s Golden Triangle. Seeing people connect with Indian craft and heritage so deeply was unforgettable. 2. We opened our first physical showroom A space where our world, the textures, palettes, stories could finally be experienced in person. This was a huge milestone for us as a young brand. 3. We expanded our team Marble Lotus is built by people who care deeply about culture, craft and good design. Growing our team in India and in the US meant growing our vision. 4. Your favorite categories in 2025 Wallpaper led the way as our top-performing category, followed by decor, Pichwai art, furniture and mirrors. And our number one bestseller? Gardens of Jaipur wallpaper, with over 300 orders across the year. Still surreal to say out loud. 5. We launched 8+ new collections and over 200 products Each one rooted in the same philosophy: celebrating heritage, craftsmanship and design into modern homes. 6. And our online community grew even more, So many new faces joined us, so many firsts… and so many regulars who’ve stayed with us from the start. Your support is the reason we get to create. And now, on to 2026. We’re starting the year with quite a bang. A very requested product is finally landing soon… and trust me, we are counting down the days to share it with you. Thank you for being a part of this journey, whether you discovered us this year or have been with us from the start. Here’s to building, designing, and storytelling together in 2026 ✨

Soni Mehra liked thisSoni Mehra liked thisI always take my birthday off. This year, I didn't. On Wednesday, I turned 32 at Fintech Is Femme's Leadership Summit at NY Fintech Week, moderating two sessions. When I saw who'd be in the room, it was an easy yes. Janelle Sallenave, COO at Chime. Flora Z., AI Product Lead at Brex. Elizabeth Corbett, VP and Deputy General Cousel at Affirm. Strong women building at the edge of AI and fintech. That's the kind of conversation I'll give up a day off for. And I'm so glad I did, here are a few things that stuck with me. Janelle kept bringing it back to something simple: trustworthiness and member obsession. Not efficiency. Not cost reduction. The member. Anchoring all efforts, AI or otherwise, on "what does the member need most?" Felt like we've been marching to the beat of the same drum. You don't have to choose between running a tight operation and delivering an exceptional member experience. Agentic AI is what makes that possible. Flora and Eli got into what it actually takes to move fast with AI without breaking things: - Get your subject matter experts and your engineers in the same room. That's where the magic happens. - Have your AI write your policies, procedures, and explanations so you have deep oversight. - Hold your team to a higher bar of measurable outcomes. As I always say, if you can't measure it, you can't manage it. And when asked to describe leadership in one word: "clarity" from Flora, "integrity" from Eli. I felt like I was looking into a mirror. It was a big week in our house too. Sid's birthday was Monday, mine was Wednesday. Shakthi tried to eat both cakes. I didn't stop her. 32 feels good. Clear on the change I want to bring, lucky to be building it with a team I love, surrounded by people who have my back. Deeply grateful for this moment.

Soni Mehra liked thisSoni Mehra liked thisFuture of retail or "Shop Slop"? Meet Andon Market: a boutique on Union Street in San Francisco, entirely conceived, staffed, and run by an AI agent named Luna. Think Amazon Go meets that Anthropic autonomous vending machine experiment from last year and they had a baby that really wanted to sell you a candle and a branded hoodie. I'll be honest: I walked in neutral. This is an experiment. Andon Labs, a San Francisco-based startup, gave Luna a $100K budget, internet access, and one instruction: open a store and turn a profit. The goal to stress test autonomous AI. I got chatting with the woman at the cash register. Turns out she found the job on Indeed, posted by Luna. She had her interview with an AI and got hired. We both laughed when she told me that. The store itself? My first impression walking in: “I’ve been here before.” From the product selection, the wall art to the stickers and the branded merch, everything is… fine but somehow deeply familiar. Because, yes at its current state, this shop was the statistical sum of everything that came before from design to selection. This reinforce that idea that taste isn't data and personal taste and curation while somehow intangible matters greatly. I think Andon Market is worth visiting, not to shop, but more to feel firsthand what AI can build when left to its own devices. We talk a lot about what AI will do to work, to creativity, to business. This is an opportunity to step inside that question rather than just reading and talking about it. 📍 Andon Market, 2102 Union Street, San Francisco

I’m honored to be keynoting this year’s PNW Solar + Storage Conference especially as Washington Solar Energy Industries Assoc. and Oregon Solar + Storage Industries Association (OSSIA) come together for the first time. I’ve been attending these events for over a decade, and I care deeply about the work both organizations do to advance thoughtful, equitable, clean energy policy in the Northwest. It’s an interesting moment for our industry. OBBBA and the premature end to the PV ITC are big changes creating real uncertainty for installers. But if we zoom out something very big is happening. We’re running headfirst into a physics problem. The grid isn’t just constrained by how much energy we can produce, it’s constrained by when and where power is needed. Peak demand is growing, shifting, and stressing infrastructure in ways we haven’t seen before. And behind it all, energy (resource) adequacy challenges are coming faster than many expected. That’s why I’m more bullish than ever on distributed energy resources. DERs, storage, and microgrids are quickly becoming essential grid infrastructure that carries real locational value. When well orchestrated, they create value on both sides of the meter: • Reducing peak demand • Deferring distribution investments • Providing flexible, dispatchable capacity • Improving resilience for communities • Supporting long-term resource adequacy The installers and developers who thrive in this next chapter won’t be focused solely on selling more projects, but instead focusing on solving the physics problem. That requires a new perspective on how we operate as an industry. That’s the conversation I’m excited to have at this year’s conference. If you’re thinking about where this industry is headed, and how we adapt and lead, I hope you’ll join us. Space is limited! Register here: https://lnkd.in/gKJDY7Su

Why build in Seattle? One word: talent. GeekWire has recently spotlighted both sides of a familiar debate: should startups stay in Seattle or move elsewhere? For hardware and aerospace founders looking for top talent, though, Gagana and I think this city is hard to beat. From Boeing and Blue Origin to Fortive and Fluke, the region is a magnet for world-class hardware talent. Add in that ~25% of U.S. AI engineers are based here, and you’ve got a powerful launchpad for the space economy and physical AI revolution. Founders see it too: 🔹Dan Shapiro (Co-founder & CEO, Glowforge): “The folks that we’re hiring are people who built airplanes, satellites, medical equipment…the kind of products that are made here in Seattle.” 🔹Philip Johnston (Co-founder & CEO, Starcloud): “We actually incorporated initially in El Segundo…but then we realized everyone we want to hire is in Redmond, Washington.” If you're looking for more evidence, just check out the below data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics - Seattle’s hardware engineering density is over 50% greater than the Bay’s. For those building at the intersection of AI and the physical world, Seattle is a great place to call home. 🔧🚀 cc Jack Callaghan Momo Nakamura Emmanuel Chan Plug and Play Enterprise & AI Joshua Ahmed (thanks for the insights!)

In California, solar energy has rapidly become more than just a climate solution—it’s reshaping communities, creating green jobs, and driving widespread clean energy adoption. As of early 2025, solar panels produce over 30% of the state’s electricity, eclipsing natural gas generation for the first time. That transition has fueled 49,000 MW of installed capacity, supported over 500,000 clean energy jobs, and sparked community-wide movements from school-based solar competitions to affluent net-metering programs. Curious how this solar surge is influencing your city—or how your business can align with a cleaner energy future? Read the full article to see how California’s solar journey is transforming lives—and how you can be part of the next wave. #CleanEnergy #SolarPower #CaliforniaEnergy #Renewables #Sustainability #GreenJobs #EnergyTransition #ClimateAction #CommunitySolar #Innovation

Most climate startups cluster in California. We went to Texas. Here are 3 reasons moving here was our best investment: 1/ Problem urgency: In California, water issues are government problems (droughts, reservoirs). In Texas, they're individual problems (your well, your quality). Individual problems have individual solutions. 2/ Cultural fit: Texas customers don't want water independence — they expect it. When we explain AWG, the response isn't "interesting technology." It's "when can you install it?" 3/ Market immersion: We're in Texas where our customers live. We face the same water problems they do. Understanding your market beats just serving it from a distance. California taught us how to build the technology. Texas taught us how to build the business. — If you’re building in climate, are you close enough to your customers?

🌍 Why Sustainability Is No Longer Optional for California Businesses. California has made it official and climate disclosure is now mandatory. With SB 253 and SB 261 taking effect, companies DOING BUSINESS IN THE STATe must begin reporting their greenhouse gas emissions and climate-related financial risks, regardless of where they’re headquartered. At Earthara, we work with companies navigating this shift toward accountability and transparency. Here’s why this matters: ✅ SB 253 applies to companies with over $1B in revenue and requires public disclosure of Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. ✅ SB 261 applies to companies with over $500M in revenue and requires disclosure of climate-related financial risks. 📅 First reports are due as early as January 2026. But this is about more than compliance. 🔍 Large buyers are already asking suppliers for emissions data. 🔥 Climate disruptions (like wildfires or extreme heat) are now material financial risks. 👥 Stakeholders from investors to employees are increasing expecting transparency. Whether you’re a mid-size company, a large enterprise, or part of a major company’s supply chain, these rules will affect you. The good news? Acting early gives you a competitive edge. At Earthara, we help companies measure emissions, assess risks, build climate data systems, and prepare disclosures with confidence. If you’re not sure where to begin, we’re here to help with a free consultation, no pressure. 👉 Reach out or comment below if you want help preparing for SB 253 or SB 261. #Sustainability #ClimateDisclosure #CaliforniaSB253 #SB261 #CorporateSustainability #Earthara #GHGReporting #ClimateRisk #SupplyChainTransparency https://lnkd.in/gUA96fEK

My fellow Sustainability nerds (and anyone else interested in our planet NOT burning to the ground), I want to talk about the changes in California! This week, a federal judge rejected the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s attempt to block California’s new climate laws (SB 253 + SB 261). Big win!! Translation: 📈 Public companies will have to report their emissions (about time) 📉 And greenwashing gets a little harder to hide (woo) Why does this matter? ✅ The world’s 5th largest economy is pushing ahead ✅ Legal attacks aren’t halting progress ✅ It sends a message: climate risk is financial risk For anyone watching global disclosure efforts wobble (looking at you, EU rollback 👀), this ruling is a welcome show of backbone. It’s a reminder: the ESG “backlash” isn’t a full stop, it’s a test. Of whether we mean what we say. Can we discuss: ➡️ Is this something you’re discussing with clients? ➡️ Will this raise the bar for national standards, or push them further away? ➡️ Is the U.S. now quietly leading on climate transparency?

On the latest episode of Solar Freedom, we spoke with Jenn Engstrom, State Director of the California Public Interest Research Group. She reminded us that when we feel like just one tiny person going up against giant special interests, "you don't need to be one person. You could join a group of like- minded people. When people come together, we can get more done. So joining either a neighborhood group of folks who are concerned in your neighborhood about something happening, or a statewide organization like CALPIRG or the Solar Rights Alliance, as a collective, you can just get a lot more done." Join the Solar Rights Alliance, and defend your right to make energy from the sun against unreasonable interference from the monopoly utilities or the government: https://lnkd.in/gA5Y9hAJ Many thanks to Jenn for the wonderful conversation! @CALPIRG #rooftopsolar #solarrights #consumerrights

California is leading the way on climate disclosure. Under SB 253 and SB 261, companies with operations in the state must start reporting emissions (Scopes 1, 2, and 3) and climate-related risks from 2026. It's not just regulations, it's a new standard for corporate accountability. At IsoMetrix, we work with companies to make regulatory compliance simple and hassle-free by automating emissions data collection and centralizing reporting. Here's a quick guide to the California Climate Disclosure Laws: https://bit.ly/4n6CijK #scopeemissions #compliance #riskmanagement #sustainability #IsoMetrix
