  • Re-imagining Hospital ER Waiting Rooms from Patient Zero Interaction Zones to Continued Medical Care Places: Providing hospitals with the ability to attract ER room patients for on-going healthcare

    Decades Publishing

Visit the ER waiting room in any decent size US hospital and chances are you will find a dozen or more patients in a waiting room. Assuming they have all been registered as capable of paying for service with a medical insurance card and a co-payment they will likely return to their seats and engage with their smartphone, stare blankly into space, or worse moan and cry in pain for typically anywhere from 1 to 2 hours waiting for triage, sometimes much longer.

    This is a wasted opportunity…

This is a wasted opportunity for hospitals to capture these ER room visitors for ongoing healthcare services.
Imagine a number of Breeze 360 Smart Medical Chairs (SMC) separated by movable sound partitions deployed in the waiting room. So instead of feeling neglected those patients could rotate through an SMC for maybe 15 minutes at a time to be connected to an In-Network Medical Call Center operated by the hospital group to have a Telehealth Tele-Triage to obtain their ‘vitals’ ahead of time and provide the local ER practitioner in the hospital with a patient record that would shorten the time required for an in-person triage and make the patient experience that much better

It contains a curated list of front-page drawings from 100 patents granted for toy inventions in the 1940s and 1950s. Promoting greater creativity amongst the youngest members of society is indeed important. Through the process of inventing, they learn at an early age to understand what their inventions can and cannot do. They learn how to modify them for better performance, and develop the skills to determine what changes are required to make better models in the future. In summary, they acquire a detailed knowledge of a product or system they can use to create their inventions.

  • INVENTION AS AN EDUCATIONAL HOBBY

    AMAZON

A few years ago I discovered 3D software which I initially used for work purposes to better communicate my ideas for new products that required investment to be developed and brought to market. There is an old saying that a picture paints a thousand words and 3D software enabled me to do just that for business reasons. However, in the process, I discovered that this software made it so easy to bring ideas to life that it has become an educational hobby for me. Educational, because to be able…

Educational, because to be able to draw inventions so detailed that if one wanted to do so then some smaller products could be 3D printed then you needed to know the parts required and how they interacted. So this has meant I have had to learn a lot more than I already knew about in areas such as robotics, communications, flight, transportation, and medical instrumentation. My resources for this self-education included searching the web, patents, and patent applications on the free access US Patent Office database plus the amazing amount of free downloadable 3D models of their products now provided by manufacturers.

  • Inventive Minds of 20th Century America: Celebrating lesser known inventors (Bicycle Inventors 1900-1910) (Volume 1)

    Amazon

Since 1790 over six million patents have been issued in the USA. Of these, approximately 5.8 million were awarded in the 20th century. The inventions they covered have been credited with providing the USA with its industrial supremacy. Whereas the patents awarded to a handful of famous 20th century inventors such as Edison, Marconi and Tesla are well known, there are hundreds of thousands of other inventors who contributed to the greatness of the USA whose names are long forgotten, consigned to…

Since 1790 over six million patents have been issued in the USA. Of these, approximately 5.8 million were awarded in the 20th century. The inventions they covered have been credited with providing the USA with its industrial supremacy. Whereas the patents awarded to a handful of famous 20th century inventors such as Edison, Marconi and Tesla are well known, there are hundreds of thousands of other inventors who contributed to the greatness of the USA whose names are long forgotten, consigned to files in the USA Patent Office, only to be reviewed by patent lawyers and Patent Office examiners and which rarely, if ever, see the light of day. Decades Publishing is shining a light on these inventors and inventions through a series of books. The first book will trace inventors of new models of bicycles, improvements to bicycles and bicycle attachments. These books are not chronicling the history of bicycle designs, but rather they are celebrating the inventors themselves, whose intellect and perseverance enabled them to obtain patents for their inventions. In the early part of the 20th century patent drawings were works of art with fine detail, usually expertly drawn by a patent draftsman based on the inventor’s rough sketches or from viewing the invention itself. In those days the draftsmen produced beautiful line-art drawings that show in stunning detail the inner workings of everything from bicycles to motor vehicles. The Patent Office used photo lithography to make copies of the original drawings. While the inventors’ names are recorded for posterity at the Patent Office, sadly the names of the skilled illustrators who created these works of art were not included in the patent applications, and most of their names may never be known; a loss to the world of art.

  • Deposed Dictators - Last Days in Power (Book 1 of 25)

    Smashwords

Dramatization of the events surrounding the last days of 25 deposed dictators in modern history.
It’s well known that deposed dictators do not write autobiographies and so the tumultuous days before they were deposed and their flight to exile is often a mystery. Yet these last days would typically be high drama events as gripping as any action movie.

I painstakingly researched multiple media accounts of the last days of these 25 deposed dictators and wrote a dramatized account of what…

It’s well known that deposed dictators do not write autobiographies and so the tumultuous days before they were deposed and their flight to exile is often a mystery. Yet these last days would typically be high drama events as gripping as any action movie.

I painstakingly researched multiple media accounts of the last days of these 25 deposed dictators and wrote a dramatized account of what could have happened. I have stuck to the events as reported in multiple news sources and then imagined what the dictator and his entourage said and did as they prepared to leave power.

There are 25 E-Books in the compendium, one devoted to each of the deposed dictators.

Book 1 is a dramatization of the Last days in power of President President Zine El Abedine Ben Ali and the events that led to the start of the 'Arab Spring'

These cabins will also be placed in hospital ER waiting rooms so that non urgent care patients may receive fastrack treatment without queuing for full ER diagnoses. Plans are in place for these cabins to be loated in airports and an intrinsically safe version located on oil rigs and at truck stops connected by satellite to a hospital Medical Call Center.
