The Final Curtain

After six years, two months and 10 days, as well as trillions of bid requests and bid requests, 884 billion ads served, more than 20 team members hired, contributed up to 20% of the company’s revenues, 4 offices moves and countless trips to all European countries, today is my last day serving for serving @Rubicon Project.

I have been thrilled to live this adventure which started 6 years ago and have been honored to work with the most talented people I have ever met. It’s been a real chance to be part of this project when programmatic was just in its infancy and was just a single digital contributor to the digital ad mix.

I will cherish all these last years and months and I have now the certitude that strong friendship can be gained from a professional and well-balanced work atmosphere. It took me quite some time to realize that my colleagues were not just my colleagues but much more than this and this is very likely the reason why this special day for me comes with some mixed feelings.

I also need to thank all my business partners who gave me and Rubicon Project their trust over these last years. I have the sincere feeling to have served them in their best own interests and also realize that any company’s success is largely based on the trust which can be obtained by its business partners.

I am very happy to leave the Continental Europe operations in some very capable hands and will keep on monitoring the future of Rubicon Project very closely.

As we say, we never say goodbye but only see you soon. My next chapter will bring me to European tech platform @AdForm where I will start serving this coming Monday.

All the best,
