  • Most project managers write the plan, then hand it to the team. Daniel Stanton, DBA says that's usually where things start to go wrong. 🤨 People won't fully read, digest, or own a plan they had no part in building. The better move is to show up as a coach and facilitator. Let the team define the work, then capture their thinking in the plan. 📝 Once the project is underway, that plan becomes how you track what's been done and estimate what's left. But it only works if the whole team actually shares the same understanding of it. Get them involved early and keep them involved as things change. 🤝 Check out the course here: https://lnkd.in/dj2FkeT3 #ProjectManagement

Want to stand out on LinkedIn? Here's where to start. A simple content framework can help you build credibility and avoid a hard sell. The right mix of content demonstrates value, builds trust and proves your expertise. LinkedIn Senior Creator Program Manager Sarah Ohlson suggests using the 60/30/10 rule for posts. 🚧 60% should focus on everyday questions, pain points and problems 📊 30% should highlight case studies, frameworks or approaches you use to solve those problems 🌟 10% should promote your work and let people know you’re open for business How are you balancing value and promotion in your content? Share in the comments. • Ever had that 'brace yourself' moment when your phone pings at 10:45 p.m. ...and it’s your boss? 👠 The Devil Wears Prada taught us that 'Miranda Priestly' energy isn’t just about high standards or sharp feedback, it’s about the after‑hours pressure that keeps teams in a constant state of alert. In leadership terms, that’s the Midnight Manager and Mita Mallick is here to help.   Signs of a Midnight Manager:  📱 After hours messages that spike anxiety — even when “no reply is expected”  🗓️ 1:1s that keep getting pushed… or quietly canceled  📧 Email and to do lists replacing real coaching and connection If you’re sending late‑night emails just to clear your own to‑do list, try scheduling a ‘send for morning’ and set clear expectations around response times. Small shift. Big impact on trust, focus, and well-being. Want to avoid being the Miranda in someone else’s career story or learn how to work with one effectively? 👠 Watch Leadership Lessons from Bad Bosses: https://lnkd.in/g8RknvGE #Leadership #Management #LearningAtWork #Boundaries #DevilWearsPrada

  • As AI gets embedded into more workflows, where does the human actually need to be involved? Angela Wick has a framework for thinking through it. 💡 Human in the loop means intentionally designing where human judgment, ethics, and oversight get applied. Smart implementations often start with more human touchpoints, then pull back as the AI system learns and the team builds confidence in it. Business analysis is what makes this work. 📊 Figure out where human input genuinely adds value, where AI can run on its own, and how to catch and fix mistakes when they happen. Invest in that upfront thinking to avoid expensive rework and AI rollouts that create more problems than they solve. Check out the course here: https://lnkd.in/dAS27bhB #AI #ArtificialIntelligence

  • What does it actually take to lead through uncertainty with AI, without outsourcing your judgment or creativity? In this Leadership Live conversation (now available as a LinkedIn Learning course), Dorie Clark and leadership advisor Rita J. King share a practical framework for using AI as applied imagination—and for making better decisions when the path isn’t clear. 🧠✨ Key takeaways: 🤔🔄 Reframe AI as “applied imagination”: Don’t treat AI as something you should defer to; treat it as a tool that amplifies what you bring.  ⏸️➡️ Slow down to speed up: In uncertainty, pause before acting and ask what the moment requires, rather than reaching for your default behavior.  🛠️🗺️ Don’t harden a bad process: Talk to customers, observe frontline work, and document the current process before introducing automation.  🧪🌳 Start small, not grand: Resist big-bang transformations; find one high-value opportunity and experiment.  🗣️🎯 Communicate for action: Tailor what you share to what the audience needs so they can act—and be clear what you need from them after you communicate.  🧩🧠 Decide amid ambiguity with frameworks: Use tools like the Eisenhower Matrix, scenario planning, and “small bets” to move forward without false certainty. A few standout insights: 💬 “Let's think of AI as applied imagination, not artificial intelligence.” 💬 “Especially if they're short on time, slow down to speed up.” 💬 “Because the last thing you want to do is harden a bad process.” 💬 “I believe we should use our tools instead of letting our tools use us.” 💬 “What does the audience of this particular piece of communication need to know so they can take action?” We’ve edited the live interview into an efficient course with key takeaways. ✅ Watch here: https://lnkd.in/gevzbFbU #ArtificialIntelligence #GenerativeAI #AILeadership #Leadership #DecisionMaking

  • Deadline pressure. Job uncertainty. That sinking feeling you're falling behind. Srini Pillay, M.D. has a name for it: your brain in survival mode. The way out is to change how you talk to yourself. ❌ "I'm going to fail." ✅ "I'm having the thought that I'm going to fail." That gap between you and the thought is where you get your footing back. 💭 The fear doesn't vanish, but it stops running the show.
