Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has supported the idea that Palestinians in Gaza should be allowed to voluntarily leave and suggested that other countries should accept them.
Israel Defense Forces spokesperson Avichay Adraee urged civilians to move to the Al-Mawasi “humanitarian zone,” a coastal area in the southern city of Khan Younis.
Palestinian health authorities said the deadly strike unfolded in Al-Mawasi within hours of the Israeli military's saying Palestinians would be able to get "medical care, water and food" there.
At least 86 people were killed in Israeli strikes across Gaza, and scores more were wounded in the past 24 hours, local health authorities said Tuesday.
