If there's one thing President Donald Trump doesn't like, it's a joke at his expense. Well, if this week's South Park is any indication, it's probably not going to be a great week for Trump.
Towelie, a frequent character among the South Park gang who is, as you may have guessed, a towel, visits Trump's Washington, D.C. We see Towelie looking out the window of a bus driving through a D.C. full of troops. "This seems like a perfect place for a towel," Towelie says as he (or she? they?) walk towards the White House.
The episode is sure to be some kind of statement on Trump's federalization of D.C. Trump declared a public-safety emergency for D.C. because of the city's crime rate, a move that many residents of D.C. have characterized as extreme.
For me, everything South Park is doing is a perfect example of the free speech we should be celebrating in the United States. Sure, it might not be the speech Trump likes to hear, but it's speech we all should do whatever we can to protect. (Also, it's a cartoon, and if we're about to get offended by a bunch of animated foul-mouthed children, maybe we should reevaluate some things, you know what I mean?)
That's it for me today. Keep scrolling for more entertainment news. I'll see you on Monday.
