Stimulating collaborative research in - molecular nutrition, precision nutrition, nutrigenomics, and nutritional systems biology - enabling knowledge exchange, and shaping the future of nutrition and health

Welcome to NuGO

NuGO is an Association of 31 Universities and Research Institutes in 2026 focusing on the joint development of the research areas of molecular nutrition, personalised nutrition, nutrigenomics and nutritional systems biology. Our mission is stimulating developments in molecular nutrition, precision nutrition, nutrigenomics, and nutritional systems biology and incorporating these aspects in nutrition and health research, conferences, workshops and training and by stimulating collaborative research projects.

Our vision statement

We envision a collaborative research ecosystem in which leading academic institutions generate high quality, reproducible, and data-driven insights that deepen the mechanistic understanding of nutrition–health interactions. Through shared training, research programmes, and open scientific exchange, NuGO, the Nutrigenomics Organisation, strives to accelerate methodological innovation, strengthen nutritional bioinformatics, and cultivate the next generation of experts shaping the evidence base for personalised and precision nutrition.

As a Network association, NuGO drives coordinated and high-quality research, training, and data infrastructures in the field of omics applied to nutrition sciences in order to advance the scientific foundations of molecular nutrition, and personalised / precision nutrition.

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policy

NuGO's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion statement was formally accepted by the NuGO members during the 18th General Assembly / Genreral Members Meeting on Monday 22 September 2025 live and online in Portmarnock, Dublin, Ireland.
