1 – 7 May 2026During 2 – 3 May 2026, less rains in the upper country with hot weather because the high-pressure system from China which cover the Northeast of Thailand and the South China Sea is weaken. The southwesterly and southeasterly winds prevail over the upper country while hot to very hot weather occurs. After that, during 4 – 7 May 2026, more rains in the upper country with gusty winds in some areas while hot weather will persist because the another high-pressure system from China will extend to cover the South China Sea and causing the southeasterly wind prevails across the upper country while hot weather are in the upper country. For the South, during 2 – 5 May 2026, the easterly and the southerly winds prevails the South with more rains. The winds and waves in the Gulf are expected about 1 meter high and above 1 meters high in thundershowers. During 6 – 7 May 2026, the easterly wave will move pass the lower South with heavy rains. The winds and waves in the Gulf are expected about 1 meter high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Caution
On 1 May 2026, people in the upper country should beware of outbreak of summer storms and severe conditions by keeping off outdoor places, big trees and unsecured billboards. Farmers should prevent for crop damage and animals danger. During 6 – 7 May 2026, people in the lower South should beware of heavy to very heavy rain and accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands.
