Audio hangouts for groups of all sizes. Whether it’s a nail-biting football game, getting stuck on a homework problem or sharing some big news, sometimes you just need to talk it out with whoever is available in your group chat.
Voice calling lets you call your contacts using WhatsApp for free, even if they’re in another country. Voice calling uses your phone’s internet connection rather than your mobile plan minutes. Data charges may apply. To start a call, open the group chat you’d like to make a call to and click the phone icon to start your call. You can also choose contacts outside of your existing group chats from the Calls Tab.
Video calling lets you video call your contacts using WhatsApp. To start a call, open the group chat you’d like to make a call to and click the video icon to start your call. You can also choose contacts outside of your existing group chats from the Calls Tab.
Screen sharing allows people to share what’s on their screen in real time. You must be in a video call to share your screen. Tap More Options (three vertical dots) in the video controls and then tap Share screen. Your phone will show a prompt indicating that you're about to begin recording with WhatsApp.
You can create events in individual and group chats to help organize gatherings and stay connected. Events contain useful information that can be easily accessed by people. To create an event, Open your individual or group chat and click Add (plus sign) > Event.
Linked devices provide a reliable, secure way to access WhatsApp from any of your devices. You can stay connected by linking up to four devices at a time to your primary phone. You’ll still need your primary phone to register your WhatsApp account and link new devices.
