If you’re in the energy space, may I recommend checking out my new weekly newsletter on @FactorThisMedia? It’s a roundup of power project development updates and financing announcements. This week’s features a shoutout to @GasBuddyGuy 😂

Day 3 without power for us after a massive tree on our easement was uprooted onto utility lines. There are still wires dangling in the road. @JCP_L, which has been dodgy at best, is now telling us without electricity to prepare for “an extended outage,” whatever that means.

1/5 A closer look at my report on⚡️usage (sales) & cost, APS territory. What is impact of data centers & who is paying more? Business sector usage (orange) surged since 2020. Residential sector (blue) is slightly up & down (👏credit conservation, rooftop solar, efficiency tools).

Embarrassed to say I never thought about it quite like this before, but excellent point, and then- wouldn’t it make sense for hyper scalers to start building their own futuristic cities (a modern railroad town!) around middle-of-nowhere highway land like this?

One thing I don't get about data centers— there is sooo much flat, empty, highway accessible land in the US that might require some additional infrastructure but would face far less backlash. Why are these AI companies always trying to build LexCorp in quaint midsize towns?
