    I failed to provide an explainer on this tweet last night. Here’s one theory: When you choose an airline on Uber, you are signaling to its pricing algorithm your elasticity of demand (price sensitivity). Flying the dominant (hub) airline at that airport? Perhaps a higher fare.

    Uber is reportedly charging roughly a $30 “hub premium” for Delta, relative to American, at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson airport. Guess the lesson here is to lie about your airline—try entering a non-dominant carrier—until we ban personalized pricing. instagram.com/reel/Dcrp3HTtS…
