On this auspicious day of Merdeka, I need to explain Malay-Muslim unity a bit more. The idea is much maligned and condemned as anti-national, divisive, and not suitable in this multicultural society
On the contrary, Malay-Muslim unity, if properly understood, is the only route to the country's national awakening. It’s a call for transformation
To begin with, the idea is not to consolidate ethnic power; political or otherwise; that would be narrow and shallow. It’s to broaden Malay nationalism and consciousness into a wholesome Islamic concept of greatness.
Where power must be just; where the wellbeing of the community is the responsibility of all; where justice is a right. Where dignity matters
Where the plight of another human, regardless of faith or ethnicity, is a burden for a good Muslim to carry
If Malay elites are consumed by greed, too much power or material things, or by privileges accorded to them, and begin to abuse the trust imposed on them. It's time to bring the Islamic principles of Amanah (trust), Adl (justice), and moral fortitude to bear. So they can see the path
If Malays suffer unfairly by the economic forces that suppress them, then it’s time for liberation
Malay Muslim unity is to remove the weaknesses in the political power structure; overcome their economic impoverishment, not by denying the other races their share but to open up the imagination of the Malays to be producers and not merely consumers in the country
The call for unity is a call for the revolution of the Malay minds to reach out for the greatness of the economic and intellectual strength that only Islam can offer to the ummah; not a shield to protect them from imaginary enemies
This effort to impart and foster Unity is noble

Can’t believe this learned man can write contradiction rubbish like this , Para 3 and Para 7 contradict each other . First u infer it’s not about political structure, then down the para , you said that unity is to remove weakness in political structure . Ha ha , big F !
No need lah Dato’…! We don’t need divisive politics or politicians talking about cock-and-bull stories of particular race or religion unity, but rather the unity of all of us as Malaysians, and of Malaysia as a sovereign nation. First and foremost, we are all Malaysians.
As a very learned Lawyer should understand and propose to PAS that the unity of all Races are more important than the unity of one Race. If every Race just fight for its kind, Malaysia has no bright future and definitely becoming very challenging for any PM to govern peacefully.
