With over 20 years of experience in the regional banking industry, Dato’ Muzaffar has an outstanding track record in driving business growth strategies and regional expansion across various sectors, including wholesale and retail banking, investment banking, treasury, asset management, and client coverage.
Prior to joining BPMB, he served as Group Chief Executive Officer of Maybank Islamic Banking, where he successfully expanded the scale and reach of Islamic banking, advanced global leadership in Islamic wealth management, and led digital solution innovations within the group.
Since 2014, his involvement in high-impact business ventures has helped MARA venture into nationally recognized entrepreneurial segments.
In 2015, he was appointed to the Malaysian Aerospace Council, a national advisory body driving the development of the aerospace industry. He also serves on the boards of several government-linked companies (GLCs).
Dato’ Zulfikri holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Universiti Teknologi MARA and a Master's in Management from Universiti Utara Malaysia.

His expertise continues to strengthen SCC’s role in driving socio-economic development through strategic financial services under the Sabah State Ministry of Finance.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accountancy from City of London Polytechnic and is ACCA qualified from Emile Woolf College, London. Before joining SCC, he gained valuable experience at Arthur Andersen & Co. Known for his professionalism and integrity, he is widely regarded as the “conscience” of management, ensuring transparency and accountability in organisational practices.
With over 30 years of experience in both public and private sectors, she began her career as a credit officer at MBF Leasing Sdn Bhd and later joined Sarawak Shell Bhd. She spent nearly 22 years at the Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC), including as General Manager.
In June 2009, she became Deputy State Financial Secretary, Sarawak, serving for 9.5 years. Her portfolio includes corporate restructuring, financial system implementation, and international USD fund-raising. She also managed state budgets, compliance, and finance, leading Sarawak’s financial transformation.
Datu Laura holds an MBA in Finance and a Bachelor’s Degree in Technology in Chemistry from the University of Bradford, United Kingdom.
