Whether you’re shopping from an app, a website or at a store, Apple Pay is a fast and secure way to check out. There’s no account to create or card info to enter. And it works seamlessly with iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.

Apple Pay is now available in India for Axis Bank credit card holders. You can rest assured that your card number is never shared by Apple with the merchant, nor is it ever stored on Apple’s servers. You’ll also continue to earn the rewards and perks that your physical card offers. Terms apply.

Here’s how to set it up:

Launch the Wallet app, tap the plus sign in the upper-right corner of the screen and follow the step-by-step instructions to add your eligible Axis Bank credit card. Once the bank verifies your card, you’re all set.

You can also apply for a new credit card from the Axis Bank Mobile Banking app.

When you check out with Apple Pay in certain apps and websites, you won’t have to type in any billing, shipping or contact info – it’s all provided to the app or website by authenticating with Touch ID, Face ID, or your passcode. All you need to do is choose Apple Pay as the payment option at checkout.

Apple Pay is accepted anywhere contactless card payments are accepted. Just look for either of the above symbols.

On iPhone X or newer devices, double-click the side button, glance at the screen to authenticate with Face ID and hold your iPhone near the contactless reader.

With other iPhone models, hold your iPhone near the reader while placing your finger on the home button to authenticate with Touch ID.

With an Apple Watch, double-click the side button and hold the display of your Apple Watch near the reader. Wait until you feel a gentle vibration.
