Gal Gadot played Wonder Woman in Zack Snyder’s DC Universe, making her debut as Diana Prince in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
The star would star in a standalone feature the following year with the release of Wonder Woman. Gadot would reprise her role in 2017’s Justice League and 2020’s Wonder Woman 1984.
Although a third Wonder Woman film was in development with director Patty Jenkins, it was ultimately cut when James Gunn and Peter Safran took over DC Studios and had their own plans for the DCU.
In a new interview, Gadot said she wasn’t surprised she was ultimately cut from the DCU, despite being told they would work with her.

“I saw the way everybody else was handled. The Henry [Cavill] situation was not handled elegantly to say the least. Patty [Jenkins] was not handled elegantly. We’re all adults and we’re all good,” Gadot said on the Happy Sad Confused podcast.
She continued, “I am so grateful I got the opportunity to wear these boots and have the character be so celebrated. I can only wish whoever is next comes pure to this journey. This character means so much to so many of us. It was never mine. I was always just a vessel. This is Hollywood.”
Gadot, who is promoting her latest film, The Runner, also said she wouldn’t be in a third Wonder Woman movie, even if they asked her to.
“For me to go to do another Wonder Woman, I am not sure I would at this point in my life with four children and different schools and all of that,” Gadot said. “To check out from all of them for such a long period of time, it doesn’t work for my life anymore at this point.”

GG a class act, a real lady!!!
I love her 😍
The very mean comments are great…they make the commenters feel so smug, even though they have no talent of their own.
It’s easy to say “no” when nobody is asking.
WW84 was genuinely one of the worst movies ever. That was her exit from the franchise.
There were movies worse than WW84; please stop with the hyperbole.
It was trash, man
That movie wasn’t her fault. Should’ve let Steve Trevor stay dead.
