a woman whose story resembles yours

As a 22-year-old, Nadine never could have understood what she was committing to when marrying Jordan Belfort, the fraudulent stockbroker infamously known as the Wolf of Wall Street.

Their eight-year marriage began as a fairytale, filled with romantic dinners, expensive gifts, and lavish parties. But once they were bonded, Jordan’s mask began to slip and acts of infidelity, narcissistic abuse, insatiable greed, and uncontrollable drug addiction became Nadine’s living nightmare. Nadine naively believed that their connection was real, and that her love could save him, so she remained trauma-bonded until the pain of their relationship became too much to bear. It would be decades before she realized her story resembled thousands of other women’s relational experiences.

everything changed when she began therapy…

At 22, Nadine began therapy the moment she recognized something was deeply wrong in her marriage to Jordan, a decision that would ultimately save her life. At 30, she packed up her kids and her curtains and left Jordan, relocating to Los Angeles, California.

Years of intensive therapy and deep self-reflection followed, requiring her to face her pain, own her mistakes, and reconnect with the authentic self she’d lost to Jordan’s abuse. She credits therapy with saving her life. Through her own healing, a passion for helping others was born. She returned to school at 39 to get her Master’s in Counseling and, at 45, graduated with a PhD in Counseling and Somatic Psychology.

and then she found her passion and purpose.

Dr. Nae's private practice quickly flooded with women recounting an all-too-familiar story of abuse with a pathological partner.

But she noticed something alarming: even after years of therapy, these women were still being betrayed and abused. The clinical world had yet to adequately address coercive control, trauma bonds, or pathological relationships. So Nadine went back to the research. She combined her academic training, her own lived experience, and the stories of her clients, embarking on a twelve-year journey to fill that gap, eventually becoming an industry expert in narcissistic abuse, trauma bonds, and complex PTSD, and a global source of education and hope for women everywhere.

more about Dr. Nae's expertise

Nadine Services Mood Disorders

Mood & Personality Disorders

Mood disturbances and personality disorders often stem from faulty core beliefs, maladaptive patterns of thinking and behaving, and unresolved trauma. Both are largely misunderstood, yet treatable once acknowledged with compassion.

Dr. Nae works with anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, antisocial personality disorder, dependent personality disorder, and bipolar disorder.

Shame and Complex Trauma

Shame and C-PTSD are at the root of all mental health challenges, addictions, and adult relationship issues. Both are caused by relational trauma, usually occurring in early life. This includes experiences of emotional neglect, sexual abuse, domestic violence, role reversal, or feeling abandoned or rejected by caregivers.

Dr. Nae’s post-doctoral training and certification works to address Complex PTSD.

Love & Relationships

Interpersonal connections are the foundation of one’s wellbeing; everyone is wired for love. Yet most people grow up observing dysfunctional dynamics and go on to unconsciously repeat what they witnessed, wondering why they push away loving partners, or why they choose abusive lovers.

Dr. Nae is an expert in identifying trauma bonds, helping women heal from narcissistic abuse, and teaching individuals and couples how to create healthy love.

NARM Somatic Therapy

Somatic Therapy & NARM

Trauma changes the way the brain and body function. Unresolved trauma shows up in chronic pain, postures, gestures, movement, bodily tensions, and breath. Thus, trauma can only be healed by engaging the mind and body.

Dr. Nae is trained and certified in a cutting-edge modality called NARM (The Neuro-Affective Relational Model) which uses a mind-body approach in addressing identity, emotions, physiology, behavior, and relationships.

a guide to healing
