Quick commerce platform for babycare products Peeko, has raised $3.2 million in a funding round led by Stellaris Venture Partners.

The round also saw participation from angel investors, including Maninder Gulati, former chief strategy officer at Oyo; Kunal Bahl undefined Abhishek Goyal, cofounder of Tracxn; Nitin Gupta, founder and chief executive of Uni; and Arjun Vaidya, cofounder of V3 Ventures.

Founded in 2025, Peeko offers curated babycare products delivered in under 60 minutes. The Bengaluru-based firm will be utilising the funds to enhance its product experience, expand supply, and hire talent.

“Apart from building the right product assortment and supply chain, we are working on the technology and products to create seamless ‘try and buy’ and instant return experiences,” said Chetan Sharma in a conversation with ET.

Sharma, who has previously worked at Leap, cofounded Peeko with Vivek Khetan (ex-OYO) and Abhijit Gairola (ex-Leap).

Peeko provides products across apparel, accessories, toys, baby gear, and consumables and uses artificial intelligence (AI) for personalised product recommendations. "It's a baby care segment, so there's a lot of emotional and trust-based purchase which happens. In our pilot and external research, mothers have been seen to trust a platform which goes deep enough and solves for all their use cases," said Sharma.

Over the next 12-18 months, Peeko plans to scale operations in Bengaluru and set up multiple dark stores and start pilots in other metro areas based on demand. It is currently operational on its website and has plans to launch its app in September.

“The baby and kids’ market is large, fragmented, and largely unbranded, with attractive gross margins. While offline remains the dominant channel in this market, e-commerce has struggled to penetrate meaningfully. Quick commerce presents an opportunity to combine offline reliability with online convenience for time-constrained parents,” said Mayank Jain, principal, Stellaris Venture Partners, in a prepared statement.

As vertical quick commerce platforms are gaining traction, mother and babycare products retailer FirstCry also provides same-day delivery in about 40 cities across the country, as of November 2024.
