Ravi Chamria shared this#Wall Street is moving on-chain. But not the way crypto expected. Tokenization is moving beyond experiments, and the bigger story is the transformation of financial market infrastructure. In the latest episode of Report Decode, I unpack Citi’s Tokenization 2030: Wall Street On-Chain and share my take on where institutional adoption is really heading. From tokenized assets and deposits to settlement, interoperability, liquidity and privacy, there’s a lot more happening beneath the surface. The question is no longer whether finance will move on-chain. It’s who will build and control the infrastructure when it does. 🎥 Watch the full episode of Report Decode: https://lnkd.in/g9DrPVTa #Tokenization #DigitalAssets #Blockchain #Banking #CapitalMarkets #RWA #Stablecoins #TokenizedAssets #Web3 #Fintech #FinancialReport

Ravi Chamria shared thisWhy does traditional banking infrastructure need to evolve? 80% of the world’s money lives in banks. But much of it still isn’t programmable, natively digital, or built for a 24/7 financial system. And with AI agents increasingly driving transactions, legacy infrastructure may struggle to keep up. As Maghnus Mareneck puts it, blockchain and DLT could give banks an always-on, auditable and scalable foundation for the next generation of payments. Watch the short to hear why banking infrastructure needs to evolve. ▶️ Watch the full episode: https://lnkd.in/d5p--hXv #BankingInfrastructure #TokenizedDeposits #Blockchain #DigitalAssets #FutureOfBanking #Fintech

Ravi Chamria shared thisBanks looking to launch tokenized deposits need to think beyond the blockchain itself. In this episode, I discuss the key considerations banks need to get right, from choosing the right architecture and infrastructure model to embedding privacy, compliance, and production-grade operations. This is how Zeeve can help banks launch tokenized deposits: 🔹 Advisory: Start with the business use case, not the chain. 🔹 Architecture: Choose between private networks, permissioned networks, Rollups, AppChains, or hybrid models. 🔹 Privacy & Compliance: Build in confidentiality, ZK verification, permissions, and regulatory controls. 🔹 Production Operations: Go beyond the PoC with security, monitoring, upgrades, and enterprise-grade infrastructure. Because launching tokenized deposits is one thing. Running them as regulated financial infrastructure is another. 🎥 In this episode, I share how Zeeve can help banks move from exploring tokenized deposits to building and operating them in production. Ravi Chamria shared thisEvery journey into blockchain has a story behind it. In this short clip from Blocks & Business, Maghnus Mareneck, Co-Founder & Co-CEO of Cosmos, shares how a family connection first introduced him to Bitcoin and eventually set him on a path from finance and Bridgewater to building in blockchain and institutional infrastructure. Ravi Chamria shared thisIn crypto, transparency is often a feature. But in banking, uncontrolled transparency is a risk. As I’ve explored tokenized deposits, one challenge stands out: How can banks make transactions verifiable without making everything publicly visible? Banks cannot expose: • Client balances & transaction flows • Treasury and collateral positions • Counterparties & FX exposures • Liquidity and business activity So what’s the answer? Selective disclosure — the right information → to the right party → at the right time → with the right permissions. Permissioned networks, confidential computing, encrypted data, zero-knowledge proofs, and privacy-preserving audits will be critical to making tokenized deposits work at institutional scale. 🎙️ In my latest episode, “Tokenized Deposits: The Future of Bank Money,” I explore why privacy isn’t a feature for banks, it’s a prerequisite. Ravi Chamria shared thisTokenized deposits are becoming one of the most important building blocks for bank-native digital money. But issuing a tokenized deposit is only the first step. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀: can that deposit move safely across banks, ledgers, settlement networks, jurisdictions, and counterparties? If tokenized deposits remain trapped inside isolated bank ledgers or closed consortium networks, we risk replacing today’s messaging silos with new cryptographic silos. 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲, 𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁: • independent bank issuance • core ledger integration • compliance-aware movement of value • atomic settlement across networks • reconciliation with existing banking systems • privacy and selective disclosure • connectivity across public, private, and consortium ledgers This is where interoperability becomes a core design decision, not an optional feature. In the article, I discuss why Cosmos IBC is highly relevant for regulated financial institutions building tokenized deposit infrastructure, and how open, standards-based interoperability can help banks avoid network lock-in while preserving control over issuance, compliance, and operations. At Zeeve, we are excited to work with Cosmos on helping banks and regulated institutions move from tokenized deposit concepts to production-grade digital money infrastructure. Ravi Chamria shared thisCross-border payments still depend on correspondent banking networks, sequential messaging, pre-funding, FX processes, time zones, and reconciliation across multiple systems. Tokenized deposits could change that. When bank money moves on a shared or interoperable ledger: 🔹 Payment instructions and value movement can become closely connected 🔹 Settlement can become faster 🔹 Transaction data can carry richer information 🔹 Reconciliation can become less burdensome 🔹 Banks can offer programmable, 24/7 digital money while preserving the deposit relationship The opportunity isn't simply about putting money on a blockchain. It's about giving banks a way to modernize cross-border payments without giving up their strategic role in money movement. As corporate treasuries demand faster, more transparent, and programmable payments, tokenized deposits could become a critical part of the future of bank money. 🎙️ Tokenized Deposits: The Future of Bank Money: https://lnkd.in/dPZbbHiQ #DoitOnZeeve: https://lnkd.in/dWk3a2BM #TokenizedDeposits #CrossBorderPayments #Banking #DigitalAssets #Tokenization #FinTech #FutureOfMoney #Blockchain

Ravi Chamria shared thisTokenized deposits will not scale simply because banks can issue them on-chain. They will scale when banks can move them safely across ledgers, networks, counterparties, and jurisdictions, without compromising settlement finality, compliance, reconciliation, or privacy. Cosmos IBC provides a credible foundation for this multi-network future, and at Zeeve, we are excited to help banks and regulated institutions take this from architecture to production. #Cosmos #IBC #Interoperability #Zeeve #EnterpriseBlockchainRavi Chamria shared thisDr. Ravi Chamria, Co-Founder and CEO of Zeeve, argues why interoperability will decide whether tokenized deposits can move across banks and ledgers without settlement and compliance risks. Privacy has to be built into every layer of the stack. Cosmos gives banks an issuance and transfer layer that integrates with their existing systems. Zeeve extends this with a system-wide privacy layer covering transactions, contract logic, and selective disclosure for regulators. Read the full piece: https://cosmos.bz/4zjsF88

Ravi Chamria shared thisStablecoins proved that the world wants digital money that moves 24/7, globally, and programmably. But for banks, the bigger question is: Can we bring those benefits on-chain without moving money outside the regulated deposit framework? That’s where tokenized deposits come in. Stablecoins move money on-chain. Tokenized deposits bring bank money on-chain. And that distinction could determine how relevant commercial banks remain in a tokenized financial ecosystem. In this snippet from my podcast, Blocks in Business, I break down why banks are paying close attention to tokenized deposits over stablecoins. 🎙️ Watch here. It concentrates on critical chokepoints—from major shipping corridors to strategic materials and semiconductor supply chains—where even localized events can have global consequences. Our latest article explores why leaders need a more precise approach to resilience, built around three strategic questions: • What can be rerouted? • What can be replaced? • What can be substituted? The organizations that answer these questions before disruption strikes will be better positioned to manage risk—and identify opportunity. Read more: https://lnkd.in/eWhj86c6

Ravi Chamria liked thisRavi Chamria liked thisInstitutional 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘀 is a unique domain - unique because it requires both competing and collaborating simultaneously, alongside building, for broader adoption. That begs the question: what should institutions build for a strong foundation, where to collaborate for broader adoption and where to compete for most commercial value. One mental model that I have found useful for thinking through these trade-offs in institutional digital assets is to break them into three key areas — platform, product(s), and network(s). 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 (platform): While functionally similar within the market infrastructure, each institution has a unique implementation. This includes security, compliance, operations, integration and core services. Platform is not necessarily the direct revenue generator but a key enabler for the products. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗲 (on products): Products drive revenue, and I think institutions should compete fiercely for generating the commercial value. Products are also where I see the closest convergence between existing systems and the Web3 ecosystem. 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 (on networks): Finally, for both platform and products to succeed, the network is the core layer where institutions need to collaborate, driving both network effects and broader adoption. Curious to know how other practitioners in this space think about it? #DigitalAssets #InstitutionalAdoption #Networks #Web3 #Tokenization

Ravi Chamria liked thisRavi Chamria liked thisTokenized deposits are moving closer to mainstream banking, but regulation remains fragmented. With nearly two-thirds of banks exploring or discussing tokenized deposits for corporate clients, understanding the regulatory landscape is becoming critical. Our latest guide explores how six major financial markets are approaching tokenized deposits: • 🇺🇸 US: Tokenized deposits remain bank deposits, distinct from stablecoins • 🇪🇺 EU: Deposit status and protection depend heavily on how the token is architected • 🇬🇧 UK: Banks are testing tokenized deposits through regulated sandbox initiatives • 🇨🇭 Switzerland: Tokenized deposits can trigger banking-licence requirements • 🇭🇰 Hong Kong: Project Ensemble is testing real-value tokenized transactions • 🇸🇬 Singapore: Tokenized bank liabilities are treated separately from stablecoins For banking leaders, the challenge goes beyond regulation. The right infrastructure needs to support privacy, compliance, core banking integration, interoperability, and scalable tokenization, from day one. That’s where Zeeve comes in.
